A positive Standard

I’ve been critical  here of The Standard, partly because I think they’ve deserved it, partly because of unfinished business (now dealt with). But credit where it’s due.

It was good to see Greg Presland come out and discuss things honestly – To ‘mickysavage’. I think he was wrong on some things and I hope I have cleared up some misconceptions, but I acknowledge I wasn’t always right myself.

After much knashing of teeth and letting of blood last week The Standard seems to have settled into more reasonable discussion. It’s probably just as well I’m not there to distract.

And in what is a rare occurrence there is a post promoting a Labour event positively.

Gear Change Labour

It was standing room only in Auckland last night with over 200 people packed into the Polish Society clubrooms to hear David Parker deliver a very positive message on Labour’s economic policy. Labour’s Auckland organisation  is also getting into good shape. And there is more to come. Watch this space.

David Parker’s speech: Changing Gear – A new economy and fairer society
