There’s blog hypocrisy aplenty – I’m sure evidence of it from me could be found. But some hypocrisy is more blatant, usually from commenters who seem oblivious to their own excesses. Here’s a good example (in an ongoing interblog feud):
lprent runs The Standard, if not as a dictatorship (somethings others get to comment) at least with a heavy hand of administration and attempted manipulation.

Time to do a Pete George. Put a “more in sorrow than anger” ‘rant’ hidden where few people ever see it.
I post this with neither sorrow nor anger. More like bemusement and amusement, especially the latter. I don’t recall ever being accused of hiding rants “where few people ever see it” at The Standard until, with a typical rant, lprent banned me so (he hoped) few people would ever see me.
I guess Cameron Slater saw my addition to this post where I pointed out the obvious…
His response to criticism about his techniques – well that is as puerile as it is possible to get. I guess he doesn’t handle criticism well..
That’s very funny. I was banned temporarily several times and then permanently by lprent because he handles criticism of himself and of The Standard and of Labour (unless it’s from one of the approved inner circle) very poorly.
He left a trackback, so I guess he wanted me to see it.
But of course I don’t “hate” the wee man. So he can be rest assured on that as he does his usual pass through here looking for stories to put up. BTW: his posts never seem to get any significant numbers of comments – why is that?.
Whale usually posts more than a dozen times a day, yesterday (19 Oct0ber) it was 22 posts. One post (High praise for NZ) had 100 comments, another (Politician of the Week) 98. At The Standard seven different authors posted yesterday, the most comments were on a Green Party post Crisis, what crisis? at 92.
I couldn’t find when lprent last authored a post. Why is that?
I just think he is an extreme example of having an oversized ego and very few (if any) observable talents. Certainly logical thinking isn’t one of them. His political abilities seem to mostly consist of blustering on others hitting them with that bloated ego. In short – a political dickhead.
That’s a self portrait if ever I’ve seen one.

/ October 20, 2012He certainly expends a large amount of words on someone so insignificant.

/ October 20, 2012Leave LPrent alone, with his checkered past and dodgy backstory there is no wonder he has a 2 micron trigger. Lots of hate in the worlds greatest internet twit. He must rage internally about having to share the world with lesser life forms.
