Blogging can be a relentless, time consuming pastime. I’ve taken a step back from that over the last two weeks, sometimes other things are more important. I’ve had family visiting and have put a priority on making the most of valuable time with them.
Two daughters are visiting from overseas – and yes, they are a part of the exodus statistics. It’s very hard to limit that, urban drift has become global drift.
And two grandchildren have also been visiting. My granddaughter is over twice as old as she was on her last visit, she has obviously changed a lot. And I have met and got to know my grandson for the first time, so that’s especially valuable time. Coincidentally, like his sister, he has started to walk while here. It’s fascinating to watch that (rapid) part of human development.
I’ve got a few more days with the visitors, then back to the usual routines. Until next time.

It’s not just blogging that’s taken a back seat to family time, same with lawnmowing.
