As a part of the coalition agreement between UnitedFuture and National a discussion on Flexi-super has been launched.
UnitedFuture leader Peter Dunne has released a Government Discussion Paper on UnitedFuture’s flagship “Flexi Super” plan.
“Flexi Super gives New Zealanders the option of choosing to take a
reduced rate of New Zealand superannuation from the age of 60, or an
increased rate if they defer taking up superannuation until they reach 70.
“Flexi Super lets people choose for themselves when they want to take up
superannuation – without being told by the government when they should
or should not retire,” Mr Dunne says.
“The Discussion Paper is open for public submissions open until Friday
11 October, after which time the Government will consider these and
determine what action it will take,” he says.
