Fairfax “Stuff” has one of its leads about earthquakes, only to ruin the article by giving unnecessary promotion to the “Fat Fairy”. Why do they do this? The country has seen enough of this apparition over the past 12 months, “its” views on any matter being treated with trepidation.

Fairfax and Herald seem to have given up on any serious attempt to report actual newsworthy items without trivialising them.. Even RadioNZ has resorted to “funny ha ha” items in it’s news bulletins.

  3. I read that 7 year old Jade Guest (of Whangarei) has moved to Colorado with her mother (her father stayed in NZ) to get legal access to medicinal cannabis, to treat her severe epilepsy. I see the NZ Govt. is still firmly sitting on the fence about this issue.. refusing to allow ‘leaf cannabis’ for med-use. They are apparently considering some pharmaceutical (synthetic) options.. BUT many people, who could get relief are still suffering, because of this ministers refusal to look past outdated, ‘marijuana’ hysteria (that many western countries are now allowing use or trialling) !
It is obvious to many, that cannabis DOES have genuine therapeutic value.. but it is still on the schedule 1 list, along side Heroin & LSD (‘most open to abuse & NO known medical or therapeutic value’.. total B-S) Registered medical doctors, should be able to prescribe it to treat patients who can benefit from it..
btw: smoking it is not the preferred/only option for ingestion.

      • Methinks there are still many, who actually believe those of us.. who advocate for medical use, are just using it as an excuse to legalise recreational use (very narrow view). I guess propaganda & brainwashing do run deep.. its 2015 not 1951, the ‘wind of change’ is blowing around the world, even if some still refuse to accept/believe it !!
I look forward to posts SLB

In France, anyone advocating it for medical reasons would be arrested. Their squawking about freedom of expression is utterly hypocritical.

Heroin was used medicinally at one time, like cocaine, it was an anaesthetic, I think. It obviously had some benefits, but the side effects must outweigh these. I must say that when I was in hospital, I did like morphine 🙂 I didn’t like what was going on that made me need it, though 😦
