Take exception to PSA continually using the health sector in their attempts to screw more money out of taxpayers for their pathetic and useless subservient bureaucrats. All those who work in health, from cleaners up, deserve more monetary recompense, but many of the bureaucrats slithering up Lambton Quay each morning sure as hell do not. In fact, government should be looking at disestablishing many of the created positions these jerks are filling. Time there was a public register of all job descriptions, salaries, qualifications, and tenure, of those employed in each taxpayer-funded sector.

I am continually amazed at the incompetence of the Herald and Stuff website technologies. The Herald routinely lags horrendously on updating its comments threads and gets all kinds of mismatches between its database and active pages. Stuff yesterday was unable to logon from an iPad, is always unable to be auto filled from a password manager and when it presents a logon pop up on an attempt to post a comment it then proceeds to erase the comment. Previously it has had bugs that persisted for months after being reported.

They are both certainly wide open for competent competition. Unfortunately that seems to rule out Freed on present performance.

Sounds as though the 16 month toddler who died in a hot car in Wanganui was another victim of the car seat road safety fanatics. If he could have got out of his seat he could almost certainly have raised the alarm. Add him to all the kids who have drowned trapped in their seats or been severely injured by their straps.
