New #1 flag

Rate The Flag has a new first choice flag. It’s one of the best I’ve seen, if not the best. Familiar and distinctive, and addresses most key issues for me.

I’d be happy to wave a flag like that.

New Zealand Flag (#9397)

Designed by: Aleksandar Dragojevic

This flag has three colors: black, white and red.

Diagonal white strip represent New Zealand. It is the same position/diagonal direction as New Zealand is shown on the map.

Black color is traditional color of New Zealand, Red represent all nations of New Zealand, cultural and historical heritage of the country, and White stands for peace, freedom and independence!

The silver fern as one of most common symbol of New Zealand is situated in the black field. Credit for the fern goes to Kyle Lockwood.

A perfect fit with a bit of vision – black for Islam’s dark heart, white for our cowardice in sucking up to it and red for Fabian Socialism. Sums NZ up really and stands for three things that will destroy us.

    • It’s easy to come up with negatives for any colour. Are you aware there’s white and red on our current flag?

I submitted a transparent (colourless) flag but it wasn’t accepted. They said it didn’t fit within the rules.

There is only one nation that needs to be symbolised by the flag. The suggestion that we might seriously accept that there are many nations is nonsense. One Nation, One culture, many flavours.

The red and white diagonal are ridiculous and pointless.
On the other hand, I like the traditional ‘fern’ (rather than some of the stylised versions I’ve seen).

” Red represent all nations of New Zealand”

Does it? When did this happen?

Changing the flag is a sideshow. I would only support it, if New Zealand was becoming a republic. The government’s consultation process on this, is like the Council’s consultation on public transport.

Like the design, but would prefer a rich green rather than the red.

  10. Please its the Tino Rangatiratanga flag with the colours moved in too vertical positions and fern on it… Leave the flag alone – its absolutely fine as it is.

IF we ever become a republic then we can revisit it.

Mr Key, talk about the TPP first and lets have a proper debate on its contents before we as a nation sign up…. flag changing is a sideshow like Bruce to Caitlyn is a sideshow….

Link to look at the TRT flag…

Just showed the missus wot you said. She still reckins the ‘fern thing’ looks like a kahawai backbone eh’.

      But i certainly wouldn’t call her petty – she’s still ugly as…. 😦
