Just for some lite political relief for our editor. I don’t know how many have seen this, but a while back the sound system in Parliament “appears” to have picked up Speaker Carter muttering “shut up Winston” during a question time.
Well when NZF discovered this a little time later it resulted in a little ‘testy nous’, mainly through Ron Mark (links in sequence posted below – quite amusing). Well the long and the short of is Winston (who has been travelling) asked for an apology on Tuesday, and failed, with David saying some one else made the comment.
People can judge the truth of this, although I would have thought if it can be proven not so truthful then that’s a potential problem. If he had said it, and apologised most Kiwis would enjoy the humour. Be a fun aside to see if NZF pursue it. David and Winston were in Court a few years back – can’t remember who was suing who.

Yea I didn’t think Carter would be that silly – not to say shut but to then lie about it. Chris could have owned up straight away, it’s not as though causing offence is an alien concept to that chap (all be often pretty witty I must admit).
    Best wishes PG.

Just who and what, exactly, is [Edited as per court order]?

I know next to nothing about the man.

From memory….. He was associated with Warren Powell from Hells Pizza, one that was screwed over by the businessman who is a protected species. He and that businessman have a dislike for each other, I believe [Deleted as per court order] has a great deal of knowldege on the Businessman, and the entire case as does of course, the original Hell man, Wazza Powell.

See attached for more details. Guess who the employee might be!

      http://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=3&objectid=10737537

([Edited as per court order] is now selling high quality cars from a reputable dealer)

See also the comments here on FB, the story was a farce, complete and utter BS fed straight from the “businessman” NB: the comments from , she is the Businessmans partner. Most relevant point, 3 unhappy franchisees out of 60. Franchising works, if the operator follows the basic recipie and rules.

I am not aware of any real association with either the Nottinghams or Slater, never met any of them, but perhaps they are sharing info to fight a common (or conman) evil.

Sure, one does not believe everything we read, but when the same picture is painted from many different perspectives and sources over and over a very clear patter / picture emerges. I treat these bits of info as pieces in a Jigsaw, and for me it fits perfectly. I also have some experiance of the businessman and the industry he worked in, and was warned many years ago not t ohave anything to do with him. Best advice ever.

Again, From Memory, please correct if I am wrong!

      • That’s one view, I must have seen a different side. I’ve had closer experience with what Spring is like, who he associates with and how he sometimes behaves, and it’s not pretty. His abusing me on Twitter is out in the open, as is his association with @Laudafinem and a close association with others.

Pete, Im not suggesting he is not now somehow associated with LF, but back in the past, i doubt he had an axe to grind. Nowadays, after being screwed over by the “businessman” he seems to be a bit bitter, I can understand that. But, the attention and negativity he and LF are giving you is not warranted, I cannot work it out, unless the businessman has used you as a shield, or manipulated you to remove anything against him and they see you as on the other side, but I don’t buy that!.

As I have said before, i believe there is a lot of truth to the original story of the businessman and his dealings, my firm belief remains,CS and the LF team are on the money over the businessman, and the story today by Stephen Cook is another twist

PS: The video by Sunday was total BS: Most of the Franchisees were very happy and making good money. The issue was with a few poorly performing Franchisees, who after “non compliances”, and breach notices failed to rectify their business operations / sales / marketing / hygiene. Think if MacDonalds or BK were told a Franchisee never cleaned, and food poisining was a serious risk. They would need to act, and fast, for fear of the negative publicity, and how it would affect their sales across the entire network, all down to one or two rogue operators! Most franchise / licence operations, need to issue two breach notices, provide training, and set out a compliance timetable prior to evicting any franchisee, and usually the final warning is also sent by registered mail, and copied to their solicitor. I know Hell did not have a history of “churn” (changing franchisees regularly), so that points to a level of fairness, and reasonable management. A reputable Franchisor has to enforce standards to protect the brand, and other franchisees, they did so! It’s the comments to the Sunday video, and who is making them that is of interest, [Deleted as per court order], the businesmans partner (Hi Rebecca), and a whole lot more.

Lets remember, the story was fed to Sunday by someone, and they did not investigate, or even follow up with other franchisees, or with the details provided by Slater – WHY NOT? Surely the sheer fact Slater was interested and trying to contact them should have raised their eyebrows a little, and they should have been far more careful. A pre-emptive strike by “a Businesman” ???

          • There seems to be deep bitterness on both sides of that feud. It’s been going for five or six years. I’ve only ever had a peripheral interest and have never attempted to weigh up the rights and wrongs.

I allowed one side to rant and accujse here, I allowed the other side to respond. All very open. And for that I’ve been dragged into it and labeled a part of a criminal cabal on LF.

And I know String has been a significant factor in that. And I’ve seen how he can behave, which is very poorly. So I dont have any respect for him, regardless of his old business fallout and ongoing bitter fighting.

And he admits an assocoiation with someone who seems obsessed with trying to pester or provoke me on Twitter. He’s joined in tag teaming there at times. So he’s got dirt on his hands in my opinion. We’ll see if he’s got the cajones to admit to a major stuffup based on conspoiracy theory assumptions.

I actually dont think it will go on for too much longer, the businessmans affairs are starting to unwind at many different levels. Hitler was said to have lost the war, as he took on too many enemies at the same time. I’m aware of a lot of people the Businessman has made an enemy, and he can only fight so many enemies at the same time.

              Hope you’re okay Pete

            • I’m fine. Kinda sucks to be prosecuted, but it’s kinda fascinating too, it’s a newe experience. And there’s some important principles at stake.

That’s what I was thinking reading the LF link from today. The authorities appear to have a lot of strands to pull together. One can imagine some large battles over admissibility. Regardless of what ever comes out legally it’s the ordinary “mum and dad’ investors in Tribeca homes I feel for. Life turned upside down stuff.

Mike he seems to be one of the recurring names in the LF Bloomfield sagas. I got the impression he was possibly the guy with the lawyer Hare in the video on the LF site. I think the LF article is one or two before the one PG has just posted. It’s about 40 minutes and a little disturbing. None of these characters from any side seem at meritorious to me.

So … is it fair to say that [Deleted as per court order] and the Brothers and Blomfield and Slater are all interconnected with each other ???

JUDGE ANDREW NAPOLITANO: We know that at least one [of Hillary Clinton’s emails] contains Top Secret classified materials… This particular email, which was satellite photos of a middle eastern country and intercepts of foreign agents…

Let’s just hypothetically say that Mrs. Clinton and her associates are indicted for conspiracy to violate the espionage laws of the U.S. by knowingly letting secrets get out, and Mrs. Clinton says, “well it didn’t say classified on it…”
