Psst, pass it round

Martyn Bradbury is asking social media to pass around the news about his “new progressive current affairs show”.

Pssst – there’s a new progressive current affairs show about to start 7pm weekdays to go up against Story and 7 Sharp

Pssst – TDB whanau – there’s a new progressive current affairs show about to start 7pm weekdays to go up against Story and 7 Sharp but it’s only going to succeed if you who want an alternative pass it around and share it on social media.

More details soon, but start the word now

This appears to be more about trying to stick it to the media man rather than coming up with a forward looking media format.

I’m not sure we will get any more of a good balanced idea of what is going in this country from Martyn Media. We shall see.

He gets some support from Clemgeopin:

Great idea. Looking forward to it. Make it interesting and informative. Be prepared for the attacks from the big media corporates, the right wing rogues and the RW blogs.

I don’t think the big media corporates will care much about it.

Mary_A:

A big thumbs up for a courageous move to get the truth out there to the people. The beginning of the winds of change in visual media alternative news delivery. A definite positive.

Visual media alternative news delivery has been in the midst of a hurricane of change for yonks.

Judy Johannessen:

Looking forward to some unbiased reporting.

I look forward to seeing if that’s possible from a Bradbury enterprise.

An alternative view from Im Right (presumed apostrophe crimes –  ‘Im or I’m?).

Its the only media work you can get Martyn, internet and your own show, TV/Radio dont want to know you as you represent a tiny minority of marxist far left subvertives. Im sure your new show will all be about Key=evil, National the same, and each episode TTP bad etc etc. Good luck though, as long as my tax dollar isnt giving you a platform, its all good.

It’s good that in modern New Zealand private enterprise media is free to have a go. Whether Martyn Media makes much of an impact will be seen soon – he has indicated they will be starting up this week.

I’m curious and prepared to give it a go and see what it’s like.

Are you mocking him or promoting him?

    • I’m happy to promote alternatives and this is no exception. If it adds something worthwhile to the media then that’s a positive.

How do you think I mocked him?

It’s not really possible to mock it, it’s too daft for that. Can he serious in expecting everyone to give him free advertising on facebook etc ? God loves a trier, but I have better things to do with my time. Campbell Live died because of poor ratings. It had its day, but no show lasts forever-and it had become the equivalent of a tabloid newspaper by the end from what I gather and saw on its own promos. I won’t be watching this new effort.

Mocking him is totally unnecessary when he does it to himself.

I find the idea of asking for free advertising rather odd-or have I misunderstood ? Tell them to pay for it like everyone else.

the big media outlets will not be concerned…they know they can sustain the so called chattering classes’ on a steady diet of ‘reality’ T.V and once over lightly, entertainment thinly disguised as ‘news’.

If my television died, I might well not replace it. I watch the news and an occasional nature programme. Cooking shows are not my scene-I loathe cooking and there seemed little else on a while ago. I liked a programme being described as ‘an observational series.’ Oh good, so it’s not yet another reality show 🙂 Then there are ‘encore screenings’ that the networks probably think we will prefer to ‘repeats.’

    Will the programme include Martyn’s extensive political knowledge like his 2014 election predictions? Things like;

*Mana to win Te Tai Tokerau & 4-5% of the Nationwide vote.
*Maori party will be wiped out in the election.
*ACT party to be wiped out.
    *National to win Epson.
    *Labour 27%-30%.
    *Election down to the wire.
*Labour/NZL first govt with Green confidence agreement.

      That’s an impressive list………of failures.
Still, good on Bomber Cadbury for giving it go. He may be on his way to being New Zealands version of Fox News for Lefties.

  6. Kudos. THIS is what Saint John Campbell should have done – set up his own show webcast as video and audio streams, with a good archived show delivery platform. That John went to RNZ suggests the steady pay packet was more important than social justice crusading….

Yeah, I bet the mortgage is a killer. And the kids will probably be going to a Montessori primary school, then on to private school education. Hell, that will be $13,000 per term.

It probably just suggests that he’s a professional journalist and presenter and not whatever you think he is.

Campbell Live began really well, but I think that it went on too long and began to have an inflated idea of its own importance, The story about the woman with four sons in a two bedroom state house who was demanding a four bedroom one so that when she died they could have a bedroom each was plain silly-she had refused a three bedroom one. A bedroom each is a luxury that the taxpayer is not obliged to give anyone. How many families have same sex children sharing a room ? Quite a few, I would guess. They also had a woman who was having to leave her state house and had been given a choice of other ones, all of which she was turning her nose up at for various reasons….I stopped watching it altogether then.

Campbell Live was pretty much past it’s use by date by that point. Got a bit to stale I think.

I also think Campbell Live became too much of a crusade vehicle for John Campbell when in the past it remained more balanced in its content.

His credibility also took a hit by throwing his weight behind Dotcom and ‘The Moment of truth’. His John Key GCSB interview also wasn’t his finest moment.

    Hilarious.

We know that in Germany the Progressive Dildos control the media, that they tried to bury the mass sexual assaults by Vibrants against German women. They only managed it for 4 days before their stifling of free speech fell apart and the truth got out via alternative online media.

Expect the same from this Marxist propaganda outfit.

There was no coverage by the mainstream German media for 4 days.

Only alternative online media where footage went viral finally forced the Progressive dominated media to face it.

Then they blamed German women who were instructed to keep migrants at “arms length” by the mayor of Cologne.

Hilarious, when Feminist false rape accusations are made against white guys, you Progressive Dildos gobble it up eg Rolling Stone’s Jackie who fantasized about white college jocks gang raping her on broken glass. Because it fits Rob and Blazier’s narrative of “rayciss whitey oppressing wymmin and Vibrants!”.

Vibrants rape and assault white German women and comrades Rob, Blazier and the rest try and bury it or blame the victims.

I guess I will give it a look out of interest, but I can’t say my hopes are high.

The Hosking quote is a doozy. It’s true enough, but the correct response to egomaniac idiot children like Hosking is not egomaniac idiot children like Bradbury.

That’s strange. Last night there was a reply to this comment, posted by Alan Wilkinson.

I remember it clearly because when I saw it I was about to post the same thing.

      Where has Alan’s comment gone?
