Unfavourable view of US candidates

The most likely candidates to run off for the US presidency are getting seriously unfavourable ratings from voters:

USUnfavourableCandidates

That’s an awful look for Clinton, Cruz and Trump, and a terrible look for the quality of candidates for one of the most important and powerful positions in the world.

    I think/hope that Herr Drumpf’s balloon has burst, or at least become deflated.

    If they’re the only real choices, it’ll have to be one of them, I suppose. Thank goodness our elections aren’t like this-the amount of money spent on even becoming a candidate is appalling.

        Well, Trump is-he’s bought himself as nobody else would be that daft. I don’t believe that he deliberately set out to lose-it is so out of character for him. Of course, he can fall back on that-I only stood to shake things up a bit. Yeah, right.

          I think he’s said that if he doesn’t get the nomination he might still stand as an independent.

      it is getting more and more like the U.S under this admin…winning is everything,cabinet club,plumbing new depths in dirty politics and childish justification.This admin is sold as ‘competent economic managers’..and a ‘safe pair of hands’…record borrowing= 100 bil plus,and consecutive deficits….let the future generations take care of it.Appalling,irresponsible misfeasance.

    It’s bit like watching an episode of Survivor US President and waiting to see which ones the tribe eventually vote out.

      Maybe that’s the way it should be done. It would speed it up, cost a lot less and not bore the tits off everyone else in the world as they wouldn’t be seeing it on the news ad nauseam.

    Maybe it reflects the nature of many voters as well – they hate what they don’t understand or are generally ignorant.

    The problem now is, that after a second term Obama administration, you are looking at a majority of voters that are a coalition of blacks, Latino’s, feminists, gays, guvmint workers, unionists, environmental extremists, the media, Hollywood, completely uninformed young people, the ‘forever needy’, the chronically unemployed, illegal aliens and associated ‘fellow travelers’. They have effectively ended Norman Rockwell’s America.

      Yep, the non-wealthy, non-privileged, non-wall street type, non-RW, non-millionaire, non-corporate class, uneducated, lazy, unwashed, greedy ‘underclass’, right?

        I wouldn’t call Hollywood the underclass, or the many middle-class blacks and Latinos, or gays, all government workers and feminists. This list is meaningless, anyway, as it can’t be backed up. And anyone who thinks that Hollywood is the underclass is very ignorant-it’s a hugely rich industry. .

        Not being a millionaire is hardly a definition of being an underclass, either, or almost everyone would be it.

  6. Yes KB! You are so right. Rockwell’s America disappeared in 1970 when the USA decided to ignore their first principle of War. Since then, the situation haschanged so much that if they do follow their first principle, humanity will be destroyed. Now they can not use their undoubted power without alienating the remainder of mankind. They have lost the plot. Please Jesus come back, you are needed now.

      Was Rockwell’s ideal depiction ever real in the first place for the majority ?

    Latest poll averages for the state of New York are as follows. It would be interesting to see how close these poll predictions are compared to the actual result tomorrow.

    Democrats:
    Clinton=53.1————-Sanders= 41.4———————————Spread: Clinton +11.7

    Republicans:
    Trump= 53.1————-Kasich=22.8————Cruz=18.1———–Spread: Trump +30.3

  11. Given the strength of the Trump victory in New York, about 64% of the Republican vote and knowing Cruz was in third place, what chance has Cruz got? Listening to the enthusiasm of the huge crowds involved during Trump’s visits to each area he goes to pass on his message. I wonder, if we are facing something we have not contemplated i.e. A Republican President who guarantees the demise of Obama care, the restoration of the US military to the primary position of military power on the planet, and the promise of bringing back the work previously exported to third world countries to maximise corporate profits, and a program of USA first. I also wonder if we are prepared for 2017?
