Non preferred PM

David Farrar on Facebook:

Little factoid, as I’m compiling my monthly polling newsletter.

Andrew Little’s Preferred PM rating is one half of what David Shearer’s was three years ago and one quarter of what John Key was nine years ago as Opposition Leader.

Key in 2007 – May polls had him at 32%, 45.5% and 38%, better than Helen Clark in each. A quarter is 8-11.5%.

Shearer in preferred Prime Minister polls in 2013:

  • 15.0% – One News Colmar Brunton 13 February 2013
  • 18.5% – Herald-Digipoll 21 March 2013
  • 12.4% – Herald-Digipoll 12-23 June 2013
  • 12.1% – 3 News Reid Research 9-14 July 2013
  • 13.0% – One News Colmar Brunton 27-31 July 2013

Half of 12-18% is 6-9%

David Cunliffe from September 2013 to September 2014 ranged from 8 to 18.2%

Andrew Little preferred PM at Colmar Brunton over the last year:

  • 9% – May 2015
  • 8% – July 2015
  • 10% – August/September 2015
  • 8%- October 2015
  • 9% – February 2016
  • 7% – April 2016

Andy shouldn’t give up yet. There’s still time. Somebody with an unpaid traffic ticket might yet still fall out of the Panama Papers … :/

I wonder what poor old Bill Rowling’s % was. He should never have been made PM.

The PPs were a bit of a non-event. I wonder if Herr Dotcon remembers his big fat revelation that was so easily proved to be a fraud. The idiot who wrote the ‘incriminating email’ overdid it, as people so often do, apart from the (time difference ? something that made it an easily detectable forgery) and laid it on too thick. That really was an own goal for the Fat Hun.

I’ve got Gezza’s chicken being blown down the road image in mind.

Was Shearer the guy who had his money in an offshore account?

The importance of Andrew Little should not be underestimated. Little is the reason some have meaning in their lives. Take Farrar himself for example. Each morning he gets up and puts fingers to keyboard with some angle on Little or his lot.

Countless others up and down the country use their daily measure of scorn on him. The sport in it is undeniable. It reminds me of a nasty All Black laughing and scoffing at some inept, uncoordinated, unskilled low grade player he’s trompled all over and has no hope in any upcoming fixture. He knows the intruder, the wannabe, way in the background hollering has successfully auditioned for the lead role in Mission Impossible.

And yet as the triumphant trumpet their taunts some of the comfort has to be feigned. There must be that Littlest part of them which thinks that like Mission Impossible the strangest thing could happen. Don’t worry folks PartinsanZ might call him “iti” but he’s Andrew and he ain’t riding into town with the “Bond – James Bond” type line. You know – “Lester, Lester C Iti.”

    ⚽️ 😊

He’s a political blogger, and the opposition put up a seemingly never ending line up of hopelessness. Little is just the next in line.

They’re hopeless. First of all they chose Goff, who rode a motorbike that was too big for him & that cost them the election. Then they chose Captain Mumblefuck Shearer, who was always as surprised as anyone else to hear what came out of his own mouth. Then they followed that up with David Cunliffe who started off well and ended up publicly apologising for having a penis. Now they’ve got Andrew Little, who’s probably going to end up apologising to the Hagamans for being a twit. What chance have they got, really? o_O
