Social chat – Tuesday

A post for social chat. You can still chat socially on other posts if it happens in relation to other discussions but if you simply want a bit of social chat start here.

The usual guidelines apply as to respecting others, behaviour and avoiding legal exposure. An emphasis on ‘social’, not ‘anti-social’.

Just to prove that people of all cultures have a sense of humour, I asked the young lady at the pie place to write on the paper bags which was the steak & kidney pie, and which one was the steak & mushroom, and now I’ve takem out of their plastic bad I see she did – in chinese characters❗️ 😄

One of the very few times that I am tempted to not stay a vegetarian is when I smell a pie that someone’s eating in the street. Then I think about what it’s made from….

When I rule the world, I am going to make it illegal to torment other people by eating pies and fish & chips in the street-especially on wnter days. I still remember on a Wellington winter day, and some insensitive person not only took a packet of fish & chips onto the bus, they went right down to the back with it, thus torturing everyone on the bus with the smell. God will get them for for that.

And that’s just *another* reason why you should *never ever* get on a bus…..just imagine how much that would make other peoples clothes and hair smell :/

No, the other people didn’t smell OF the fish & chips, they just smelt it. It wasn’t that strong, forsooth.

If the fish & chips that you eat are strong enough to make everyone nearby stink of them, the fish can’t be very fresh and the oil must be well beyond its best-by date. I’d go somewhere else for them, if I were you.
