Social chat – Saturday

A post for social chat. You can still chat socially on other posts if it happens in relation to other discussions but if you simply want a bit of social chat start here.

The usual guidelines apply as to respecting others, behaviour and avoiding legal exposure. An emphasis on ‘social’, not ‘anti-social’.

A man ran up to a keeper at Whipsnade Zoo.

    ‘There’s a moose loose ! There’s a moose loose !’ he cried.

‘Are you Scottish or English ?’

Sad to see Jean Alexander, who played Hilda Ogden in Coronation St, has died. I used to love Hilda when I was a kid. But she did make it to 90, so had a good innings.

I remember the ‘artistic muriel’ on one wall of the ‘lounge’ as they would have called it, with the three ducks flying across it.

Pretty quiet here tonight. I’ve just got back from the weekly family dinner, and it was a great evening, Patu Jr & I had a most enjoyable jam session with my brother in law. The simplest songs sound nothing short of amazing, when 3 guys on steel strung acoustics get a harmony going. ‘Fulsom Prison Blues’, by Johnny Cash, would have to be the highlight of the evening 🙂
This one is an old favourite of mine, and IMHO these two sound better than the original.

Time for me to catch a few z’s, but before I go, here is something really special. This duet might not be studio quality, but IMHO it captures the true essence of music. Enjoy….
