Awfulization of America

The US presidential campaign blunders on. Both candidates blunder on.

The poll averages keep closing, but there are varying individual results. Due to all the twists and turns and convulsions in the campaign I think it is impossible to predict what the election outcome will be.

I think the big question now is will the US slide into turmoil straight after the election? Or will that be delayed until whoever doesn’t lose takes over in January?

The campaign has been an avalanche of ugly, but this may be just the entrée to the awfulisation of America. (Or should that be awfulization?)

I can’t recall any place where entrenched corruption unravels nicely.

Nice work if you can get it – but someone needs to tell Chelsea Clinton to “S.T. F. U” ❗

  4. Hard to believe that the two main parties put up such terrible candidates. Couldn’t the Dems find someone who the country could get behind, not bloody Hilary with 20 years of baggage. If she had any decency she’d put the country first and not have run.
I think Hilary is the only plausible candidate but as soon as the election is over and she’s won the US will descend into a cold civil war. I wonder who will triumph over the political rubble in Washington.

Arty, your dystopian view of America- post election- is like a gatling gun ripping the heart out of a brighter future. You have taken hope away.

The Rom,an Empire lasted over 500 years, and it’s Eastern half, the Byzantine Empire stood until the Ottomans conquered Constantinople in 1453…

Colonialist American lasted barely 250 years until these two candidates reduced it to a trash fire in a dumpster.

This clip really gave me a laugh when I saw it on Aljaz back in October. We all know how articulate and formal Obama is when he gives speeches. But all of a sudden he starts talkin’ like a homie. “Come oan Man!”

G, Obama is a brilliant speaker with an auto-cue. Take it away and he morphs into an incoherent chump. Cheers,c

        • I have never been very impressed with Obama’s oratory. I think Michelle is a lot better. She should have stood for president instead of Hillary.

True pg, but actions speak louder than words. We shouldn’t allow ourselves to be seduced by powerful oratory. Words as someone once said, can’t even ‘move the leaves on the trees’. Cheers,c

            • I think people look for leadership, or at least the perception of leadership, and powerful oratory helps give that perception – especially in the modern age of communication. An authentic speaker stands out from the crowd.

His oratory is pretty weak really, just Trump-bashing. No mention of the wonderful legacy he’s left for another Democrat leader to carry on with ..

  8. You may like to investigate the information in the FBI Vault about Hilary Clinton it is contained here :”https://vault.fbi.gov/hillary-r.-clinton”. Some of the information is redacted mainly to preserve privacy of persons not really connected to her case. It is in 4 parts, and I had to blow up the text to read it properly (Command and +clicked together). The first part indicates the nature and extent of the classified information in the servers looked at by FBI forensics. Having looked at the information, and comparing it to other information available through Wikileaks, I now understand why some 100 FBI agents were resigning. I would be putting HRC on suicide watch right now.

        • Back story to the Glencore vid is that recently the FBI tweeted that they had released a very heavily redacted document relating to an investigation of the pardoning of Marc Rich by Bill Clinton. The FBI has also recently released information on Vince Foster, whose death was tied to the Clintons. Glencore seems to be operating a lot like the BCCI did back in the day. Also there’s a Zionist connection to Glencore which isn’t mentioned in the video.
