‘Minister PETER DUNNE reports the cost of the merger of Urban and Rural Fire Brigades will be $303 million. Levy Payers are to fund $263 million of this through an increased FSL being charged on their Property, Motor Vehicles, Contract Works and Home & Contents Insurance Polices….’

This increase will impact on everyone who has Insurance Policies that attract fire service levy from 1st July 2017.

There is a special place in Hell reserved for those idiots who not only go on screwing in screws whose heads are obviously half-shot so that these are 15/16 shot, and do it so they are flush and can’t be got at with pliers or wirecutters (a handy little hint told me by a chippie) When the screws are the kind with square ‘slots’, it is all but impossible to remove the buggers.

I’d like to think of the person who did this to the window fitting in my bedroom spending a few milleniums trying to undo ones like it.

What a terrible curse. It’d be hard enough trying to remove them under ordinary circumstances but to have to do it whilst also having a fit is just pure sadism.

Whatever happened to Friday Night Woodstock? I’m missing the music…
RIP Scott Weiland, another unique voice, lost too young….

Thinking of gifted vocalists who met their maker far too early…

I’m about to ‘hit the hay’, but here’s one for any insomniacs who are still about. The following track is what revived Patu Jr’s interest in the guitar, after he told me that his lessons were ‘boring’. The funny thing is, those ‘boring’ lessons taught him every chord in this song! I’m pretty average at singing, but my son sure can carry a tune… 😉
