/ March 15, 2017Thinking they may need to improve their image worldwide, *ISIS* recently put their *multi-million dollar advertising account* out for creative pitch to some of Europe’s leading *Ad Agencies*.
An anonymous spokesperson, fronting on behalf of *CEO Abu al-Bagdady*, told waiting media, “That despite a number of fab submissions, Ab’s has decided to stay with the incumbent. He felt that when you’re a head, stay a head”
XD
Kitty Catkin
/ March 15, 2017Yes, that’s ISIS-I don’t think.
Corky
/ March 15, 2017Great stuff, but that would also include Christians wearing crosses. Isn’t Europe Christian?
So, we still need to get over our embarrassment and be prepared to say “This is the West……..”
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/03/14/employers-can-ban-workers-wearing-headscarves-rules-european/
Missy
/ March 15, 2017Snap! I posted about this in the UK/European thread. 🙂
As to your first point Corky, the problem has been some workplaces have banned crosses, but not headscarves, so in a way this could be a good thing for all concerned as it could stop the discrimination against Christians.
Corky
/ March 15, 2017I can understand your reasoning, but I bet that wasn’t the courts reasoning..bet they had a Muslim backlash in mind. Muslim countries have no problems with backlashes. They dish their own out for any foolish Christians who think they have equal footing with Islam.

/ March 15, 2017I saw some footage of Queen Lizzie riding her horse, she was wearing a head scarf too !
Does this mean she would be also in the ‘firing line’ to remove it (OR maybe she is a secret Muslim)? I doubt it..
btw; I remember in 1960s it was ‘fashionable’ for western women to wear them.. not intended as an excuse to attack these women 😦

Corky
/ March 15, 2017This will be my last post on Muslim things for awhile, least people start thinking I have a problem with Islam. The only exception will be if others post on the topic.
At 2.37, notice this Prat who isn’t a terrorist and looks just like an ordinary Muslim. However, his eyes give him away. Common decency and letting it go this time for the sake of debate aren’t part of his vocabulary.
Talking of eyes, I wonder if Parti has been looking into the eyes of Muslim women to see the quiet arrogance and superiority they convey ( in my opinion)?
Kitty Catkin
/ March 15, 2017I see Muslim women all the time, and haven’t noticed this. I haven’t, of course, seen every Muslim woman in the world, as you must have to make such a statement. The ones I see look like the rest of us as far as expressions go. Most look pleasant, a few don’t, but that’s their problem.
I know that the Muslim scarves aren’t a fashion item, but people don’t seem to get all excited when every second young woman seems to be wearing whatever the latest trend is and cry ‘Brain washing !’ Suits are compulsory in many workplaces, but I don’t hear squawks about that.
Kitty Catkin
/ March 15, 2017Both men are cracking bores, proving that being boring is international. I didn’t see anything odd about the Muslim man’s eyes. They both ramble on and on. And on. The Muslim man was obviously aware long before he began to speak himself that the other man was Israeli. he doesn’t suddenly discover this.
Corky
/ March 15, 2017Kitty,you either understood, or you are playing semantics.
Kitty Catkin
/ March 15, 2017He had obviously known for a while that the other man was Israeli, but he didn’t look like a terrorist, just a boring, rude and intolerant person, and these are found everywhere, alas. The Israeli man was not as bad, but he was also a rambling bore, much as I hate to say this of a Jew.. They were quite well matched in that way, both loving the sound of their own voices. I wouldn’t be surprised if the audience simply switched off until something more interesting came on.
Corky
/ March 15, 2017So he was a lying when he said he didn’t know the Jew would be part of the programme.?
Kitty Catkin
/ March 15, 2017He may not have done BEFORE the show, but he wouldn’t have to be a genius to work it out as he listened to the interview which I suppose that he did. The name and accent would give it away even to the dimmest, which he isn’t. As I said, I found them both verbose bores. He was also a smart-arse, the Israeli wasn’t.
Corky
/ March 15, 2017Hence my above comment about you playing semantics.
Kitty Catkin
/ March 15, 2017Nonsense. He didn’t suddenly see the other man and know by looking at him, he had been listening to the conversation as people do on this sort of programme. It’s like knowing that someone called Ravinder Singh is a Sikh, you don’t need to see the turban and brown skin to work that out, especially if you’ve heard him speaking in an Indian accent.
Corky
/ March 15, 2017Still semantics, Kitty. But fire away, I have all night.
Kitty Catkin
/ March 15, 2017Well, I haven’t.
Zedd
/ March 15, 2017I heard that details of Mr Ts revised medical policy (to replace Obamacare) has been announced: 24 million Americans in the bottom 50% will lose most of their entitlements.. meanwhile.. the Medical profession, richest millionaires/billionaires & big-pharma are all set to get huge tax cuts to ‘compensate’ them for.. ‘previous injustice’ (under Obamacare) & I thought Mr T was supposed to be IMPROVING this issue (BUT for whom) ?! 😦
Corky
/ March 15, 2017Give it time, Zeddy. Don’t forget all the Americans who presently find it cheaper to pay the fine for not being in Obamacare, rather than be in said scheme.
Zedd

/ March 15, 2017In November 21 2015 a helicopter crashed on Fox Glacier killing 7 people, on the 26 November 2015 the Police announce all bodies have been recovered.
http://www.police.govt.nz/news/release/all-fox-glacier-crash-victims-recovered
But .. On March 2 2017 a tramper finds human remains on the glacier that have been identified as one of the victims of the 2015 crash.

/ March 15, 2017Seems to be a reporting error somewhere….??
Originally it was reported they still had 4 to find: “Bad weather has halted a recovery operation for the bodies of four tourists remaining on Fox Glacier after a helicopter crash.”http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/74272467/six-foreign-tourists-killed-in-helicopter-crash-on-fox-glacier” Nov 22nd.
Then they found only 3?
Anonymous Coward
/ March 15, 2017That first link above is the Police announcing all bodies found.
PDB
/ March 15, 2017And from that link: “Police can confirm that the remaining three victims from Saturday’s helicopter crash on Fox Glacier have been recovered”
So back to my point, the paper said there was still FOUR bodies to be found before bad weather set in………
patupaiarehe

/ March 15, 2017It must have been the bodies that were visible and could be recovered, and the reporter misunderstood ?
patupaiarehe
/ March 15, 2017Six passengers, plus a pilot, equals seven Kitty. Read the links above. Someone lied then, or someone is lying now…
PDB
/ March 15, 2017I think Kitty is suggesting the police actually meant they recovered the last 3 bodies that ‘they could find’ and the reporter misunderstood that?
Does seem an unlikely omission however……

https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/cops-miscounted-number-of-bodies-retrieved-from-fox-glacier-chopper-crash-site
Bodies of two tourists returned to England.

So how did the body just discovered get sent home to England in Dec 2015

/ March 15, 2017I can understand making a mistake if a few hundred people died but mistaking 4 bodies for 3?? Hopefully the media/cops clear this up…….

/ March 15, 2017Story at the Herald has been updated, it wasn’t a whole body that was found, and they mustn’t have found the whole body in 2015.
patupaiarehe
/ March 15, 2017‘Truth’ is being adjusted, as we converse. Any thoughts on that, Pete? As I said earlier, I ‘smell a rat’. Seven people were on that plane, & seven bodies were allegedly recovered…Until a corpse was discovered in a glacier… 7 + 1, doesn’t equal 7. Just saying…..

Kitty Catkin
/ March 15, 2017Dial a what ? Something crude, I suppose. Tell Wayne that nannies are there to mind the children, not what he thinks-or was it her race that made him think what he probably did ?
I took her to be the nanny, not from racism or prejudice, just that people like that tend to have nannies or au pairs. And she looked so young that it was a reasonable thing to assume.
Gezza
/ March 15, 2017I thought she was brilliant! I loved the way she came back & closed the door. 😃
Kitty Catkin
/ March 15, 2017That was what made me think that she was the babysitter, for some reason.
I can’t see it as racist to think that someone who’s minding the children is a child-minder. When we can see her properly, it’s obvious that she isn’t actually that young.
Kitty Catkin
/ March 15, 2017But if Wayne meant that she was a prostitute, which I suspect that he does-only he’d have used a cruder word-that is racist.

PartisanZ
/ March 15, 2017Enjoy the cars while we can … Judging from my trip South today on SH1, 12 and Mangakahia Road … our highways may shortly become designated ‘avenues’ exclusively for truck and trailer road-freight and logging rigs … We common citizens will travel by coach or minibus … Why? Because private cars will snarl the passage of freight …
With lading & dimension regulations expanded, and overload fines eased, brand new BIG ‘H’ rigs are tearing the highways to shreds … The extent, distance, duration and delay of roadworks was astounding … These rigs should be paying 1000 times the RUCs of a light vehicle, their ‘per pass’ equivalent … We are sure as hell going to need the money …
The taxpayer’s gonna lose out here I reckon …
Increased road freight, this ‘signal of economic growth’ – regardless of whether it’s new or won off KiwiRail – will no doubt create some more minimum wage employment – so many lollipop ‘boys & girls’ – but mostly the money will filter upwards to ever fewer, ever larger ‘transport & logistics’ companies …
The whole thing’s a perfect expression of Kelsey’s FIIRE economy … Corporate influenced and possibly ‘purchased’ government policy favouring road freight over rail … Finance & Insurance industries buy or leases-out and insure the new giant rigs … Immigrant labour drives them … and in Real Estate our penchant for urban sprawl marries perfectly with our obsession with private transport …
Alan Wilkinson
/ March 15, 2017These are the roads the loony Left want to call the holiday highway and refuse to build. Instead they should be four lane divided so the heavy traffic doesn’t hold up all the tourist traffic. Rail is a pipe dream in sparsely populated areas.
PartisanZ
/ March 15, 2017First Alan, I wasn’t advocating that rail take the place of automobile transportation … Automobiles should link us with public transport, and with freight particularly supplier to rail-head and rail-head to customer.
Why do they call the big rigs road trains? Long haul?
But lets talk about pipe dreams. The NZ government & local authorities can’t even keep the existing 2 lane network properly repaired! Its now being shredded even faster than increased repair efforts can cope with. Apparently its $13 million per km for the new Puhoi-to-Wellsford section …
A 4 lane network even from Whangarei-to-Auckland is so far in the future the world’s oil might have run out by then … Meantime each extension North or South from Auckland simply moves the bottleneck further out and simultaneously extends the reach and volume of commuter traffic … further clogging the already occluded arteries of Auckland City …
“Expect Delays”, followed by Gridlock …
Its the Rabid Right playing a very bad joke on itself … Its an ‘economic growth’ duck and it sure as hell looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and, during duck hunting season … dies like a duck …
Alan Wilkinson
/ March 15, 2017$13M/km doesn’t look too outrageous compared with European prices I’m a bit surprised to see. Bottlenecks like Warkworth are simply shocking design. Just look at Queensland to see what good roads did for the State.

/ March 15, 2017Don’t get too excited PZ. I had a little laugh inside my head today, following a ‘Class 4’ truck to work, with an ‘H’ tag on the back, & no ‘tow coupling’ in sight… How the driver intends to put 36 tons of freight on his truck legally, is beyond my understanding….
