It is being reported this morning that the Chancellor is now on shaky ground after the embarrassing u-turn on National Insurance Contribution for Self Employed.

Reports suggest that Theresa May told him they were reversing the tax increase and that she didn’t care how bad it was for him.

In the wake of the letter bomb at the IMF in Paris, further south in Grasse a 17 year old student open fired in a school shooting. The student had two handguns, a hunting rifle, and two ‘training’ grenades when he attacked the school injuring 8 people (no fatalities). The 17 year old has been arrested.

Al Jazeera reported on this incident several times. The perp’s age changed from 17 to 16 at some point. Not sure what age they’re giving currently. A girl interviewed who says she witnessed the whole incident said perp was short, blonde, wasn’t firing randomly, look straight at her, their eyes met, and carried on. He shot specifically at the headmaster & two others. Reporter said other injuries reported were caused by the panic.

He was apparently a student at the school. An earlier report I saw said that their was an accomplice, though I don’t think the accomplice actually shot anyone.

When Aljaz does these live reports from the scene like this every couple of hours they report whatever they’re hearing from whover they can get. It’s interesting how the story changes. Last broadcast I saw about 4am they were questionning how he managed to get such an armoury into the school. No mention of an accomplice.

The conspiracy nuts love that shit, half of the Sandy Hook theories rely on chaotic early reports that by their very nature are fluid, but in hindsight those inconsistencies speak volumes to them.

Absolutely. These sorts of reports are right up there with anonymous sources as product suppliers for the conspiracy marketeers.

Just seen an updated report where they said that the earlier reporting of an accomplice was incorrect, I think it was reported as it came from a Town Hall official, so was considered reliable. The interior ministry are now saying it is thought that there was only one shooter. From what I am hearing reported it seems that even the authorities are unsure if there was one or two involved.

It shows the confusion that comes about when these things happen.

Perhaps there’s something to be said for the NZ police system where nobody tells you anything so they can’t be blamed for misleading you because you haven’t got a clue what it was all about or who did it, except for Corky.

Either of you two read “White Noise” by Don DeLillo? It’s the Airborne Toxic Event.

There’s an ‘event’ and the witnesses to it are on a plane, when the plane lands the media are there and the witnesses can’t make sense of their story until one of them starts describing it to the media, then they all start nodding, “that must be what happened”.
