WTF Andy and Cindy

I know I’m not in the target demographic but I really wonder who thought this was a good idea, apart from Andrew Little, Jacinda Ardern and Anthony at The Standard who posted in praise of Labour’s leadership team:

Labour’s new tactic of featuring a leadership team seems to be working well.

The Woman’s Weekly piece is gold for Labour (and it has the added benefit of annoying Mathew Hooton). We’re going to be seeing a lot more of Andrew and Jacinda…

It doesn’t help looking like having an arm around and having a nowtolove.co.nz website.

That’s:

Jacinda Ardern & Andrew Little

Our Special Bond

Jokes, road trips and whisky sessions

It’s certainly a different image for the leader and deputy leader of the main opposition party.

Perhaps they have done their research and this will attract new or ex voters to Labour, but I’m quite gobsmacked by this – not so much by Ardern, she seems to like promoting herself via women’s magazines.

But I really don’t think Little is doing himself any favours allowing himself to be promoted with his arm around a young colleague.

And that’s a rapid ‘special bonding’, they have only been a leadership item for a few weeks.

Groan…pass the bucket, Matty. Thing is, I’m over National after they introduced
apartheid into NZ. But I cant vote for these duffers.

‘We’re just getting our ducks in a row’ elicits chuckles ??? Some people are easily amused.

I don’t see the arm thing as a big issue-they’re not cuddled up.Does he even have it right around her or just behind her ? But the whisky sessions doesn’t sound good.’Jokes (sic), road trips and whisky sessions’ ? These are adults, not first year university students,

After you with the bucket, Corks, unless there’s another one.

That one was lucky to survive a cull.

        • I had meant to, just trying to catch up with things this morning.

Makes you wonder what some people get up to in the privacy of their own home. 😳

Darn…missed that one, Patu. It wasn’t a cat gazing at a bubble was it ❓

        • Your ‘hard done by’ moaning is getting tiresome and it is unlikely to help.

No Nelly. It was a thoroughly inappropriate meme, that alluded to ‘ventriloquism’, by Andy. BTW, arguing about moderation ‘in thread’ (even if it’s a different one), is bad form, IMHO. I thought it was funny, but Pete thinks otherwise, & I accept that.

Yeah, I saw this at the supermarket today. At first glance, given the heading, I thought the photo was of Mr and Mrs Little but I was gobsmacked when I looked closely. They say any publicity is good publicity so we’ll wait and see if Mr 7% Little soars in the preferred PM polls after this.

Feel free not to read it then, Duncan. Any politician who chooses to advertise themself in a tabloid, is fair game to be mocked, IMHO

  9. That really is gag material. Kiwis are far too cynical for that forced mates claptrap.

Wise up Women’s Weekly, we can’t stomach this syrupy contrived stuff.

I grew up near Pukekura Park. Mum and Dad said I shouldn’t go down there after dark because there were weird men about. Now they are about in daylight! How things have changed.

Wow. Another Naki native. 👍 How old are you? We might have gone to kindy together.
If your name is Malcolm I’m sorry about hitting you but I was sick of you always taking the drum & all I ever got was the triangle which was boring as heck.

          Not what I meant. I … will … say … this … very … slowly … for … you. I … am … not … suggesting … for … example … that … P…D…B… is … Bill … Brown!

          Thank … you … and … good … morning! 👍

Relax G. I hated kindy and lasted 2 weeks. Mum said I always said it was too noisy but my only recollection was that the tractor I had my eye on was always taken by another kid.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that was Malcolm too. Somebody needed to clock him one but they made mum come & get me & made me say sorry to the little shit so I didn’t hit him again. But I got the drum the next day. Mum and Dad had a tearooms/dairy down on the corner of Devon Street East & Coronation Avenue & we lived in the house out the back until I was 5, then moved to Fiztroy after they sold up. So I went to kindy just up the road next to the cricket field @ Pukekura Park.

This doesn’t surprise me in the least and just reinforces what I’ve said about Little only making Adern deputy so he can leech off her.

I’m getting bored, doing this by myself. There is a ‘tag’ on Imgflip, called ‘andy little jacinda ardern’. Keep it seemly, or risk the wrath of Pete…. 😀
