Spending a ‘kiwi’ night in with a bottle of Sav and watching Brokenwood Mysteries on Drama, but there was a whole scene with someone eating Twisties, now I have a craving for some. *sigh*

Well all, I bid you a good night from the UK.

I still have a craving for twisties though… damn UK tv for having NZ programmes!! Hopefully I will be over it by tomorrow. 😀

Bags of twisties make great padding in parcels sent overseas, and they’re cheaper and more delicious than foam chips and bubblewrap.

        • They make a lot more mess when you pop them than bubble wrap.

do you mean ‘in transit’ or when you jump on them on the lounge floor?

Wouldn’t Customs stop them going in ?

The dog hates the noise of bubblewrap bursting, so I have to do it softly-poor fun-before it goes to be recycled.

Why would customs stop them? they are a processed food and it isn’t banned.

The religion of peace allegedly strikes again. Its terrifying reading…not the attack, but the words from a spokesman who said Swedes do not consider themselves targets for attacks.
    Is that chap for real?

Corky, one loony fanatic out of millions of Muslims.

Ah, well done Kitty, heading for the lone wolf theory by the sounds of it. Reports are two have been arrested.

But I think you might find this article interesting, it dispels this idea of the lone wolf or ‘one looney muslim fanatic’.

          https://www.theguardian.com/news/2017/mar/30/myth-lone-wolf-terrorist

If all of these attacks are ‘one looney muslim’ I guess there are a lot of ‘looney muslims’. You need to acknowledge and face up to the fact that these people often start out as part of a group, and are not just one looney heading off on their own to act.

          • Kitty Catkin

             /  April 8, 2017

One loony heading off on their own from a group thinking themselves to be a big hero. To assume that all Muslims are like this is like thinking that all Christians are like the despicable Westboro Baptists.

            Isn’t London’s mayor Muslim ?

Lone actor has been proposed as better than lone wolf-it’s not ideal, either, but it’s hard to come up with anything better.

            • Missy

               /  April 8, 2017

I have never assumed all Muslims are like this, but I also don’t buy that all of these acts are being enacted by ‘one looney’. Every time an apologist for Islamists writes off a terror attack like this as being an act of ‘one looney’ they make it easier and easier for these groups to continue using this method. You do realise that ISIS called on their followers and members to use this method of attack, that is because it is harder for the Intelligence Services to monitor and stop them. To assume that every time a Muslim extremist drives a car or truck into a crowd of people it is just ‘one looney’ is just stupidity, ignorance, or naivety – I am not sure which applies to you.

What has London’s Mayor got to do with whether terrorists are ‘one looney’ or an organised group of people, bringing him into it is irrelevant and a diversion.

               /  April 8, 2017

Kitty, did you actually read the article I linked to? If not then read it before commenting about this, your assumption these lone attacks are all just ‘one looney’ is wrong, as discussed in the article.

Sorry Kitty. We have been down this road. I have exposed your arguments with facts and common sense. What you are now doing is called ”stirring.” Come back when you have a decent argument.

          • Kitty Catkin

             /  April 8, 2017

It’s not stirring. This was one or two people out of millions. There are untold mass killings in the US, but nobody thinks that that is part of the American psyche, although they have the right to carry arms so that any nutter can have the means to kill as many people as they can before they are overpowered. Even so, mass murder is not considered to be ‘the American way’-although there have been more days when one has happened in a year than when they have not.

Why don’t most of/all the Muslims in countries where such acts happen do it, if it’s part of the religion ?

Do you remember that song ‘This is My Bridge’ ? Pure slop, sung in a voice that was very high-pitched, as if the singer’s undies were a few sizes too small-but people liked it.. Then ‘Mahoney and Holmes’ killed it with one of the cruelest parodies I have ever heard.Theirs was ‘This is my fridge.’ Heartless but terribly funny.

I found thar one on Google, it’s very funny, but also remember one that relayed the contents of the fridge, sung in an absurd falsetto and thought that it was Mahoney and Holmes-it went something like ‘bread and jam (bread and jam) something ham, ha-ha-ha-ham, left over stew….’ There may have been two.

I would’ve thought the bridge was worth an uptick Al. 😕 It’s a good bridge. 👍

How come you think upticks matter more than an appreciative comment?

             /  April 8, 2017

It’s just how I am. I always liked a nice comment from the teacher, naturally, but a star was even better. When I went to a certificate of appreciation was nice but a pay rise was even better.
