  • U.S. Navy Strike Group Moving Toward Korean Peninsula
A U.S. Navy strike group will be moving toward the western Pacific Ocean near the Korean peninsula as a show of force, a U.S. official told Reuters on Saturday, as concerns grow about North Korea’s advancing weapons program.
  • North Korea: Trump’s Airstrikes in Syria Justify its Nuclear Weapons
North Korea is pledging to boost its defenses following President Trump’s decision to strike a Syrian airfield, calling the move “absolutely unpardonable.”A North Korean foreign ministry official said the missile strikes proved its own nuclear weapons program is justified, according to the Associated Press, which reports from North Korea’s state-run Korean Central News Agency.
  • Trump’s Options Include Placing U.S. Nukes in South Korea
The National Security Council has presented President Donald Trump with options to respond to North Korea’s nuclear program — including putting American nukes in South Korea or killing dictator Kim Jong-un, multiple top-ranking intelligence and military officials told NBC News.

In polling since the missile strike Gallup has Trump’s approval at 40%, disapproval at 54% (6-8 April), which is worse than immediately before the strike but not as low as it’s been:

It’s still early to see how the US public reacts to Trump escalating US involvement in Syria.

Depends how big the fire is and how much water is available. People living around the Chch fires were pretty happy to see fire breaks burnt near by.

The war is already raging. Water did nothing. Judicious fire breaks may yet put it out.

Again, the prospect that these indoctrinated clowns may progress to positions of power is terrifying.
