I am reading ‘Putin’s Russia’ which makes surprising reading-I don’t think. One could be reading about Stalin’s Russia except for the things that obviously date it. What a great leap backwards. It’s very depressing indeed. Tsar Putin has been in since 2000-I bet that it seems like 17 dog years to a lot of people in Russia,.

  2. Best News of the Week – The claim that American cyber experts put the hex on the North Korean Nutjob’s missile launch to make it crash. Are we perchance on the cusp of the days when such despots will approach their triggers with fear and trembling, terrified that the projectile will travel twenty yards then turn round and go back to Daddy.

Worst News of the Week – Cadbury appear to have abandoned even last year’s patronising attempt to justify removing Easter from their ‘Easter’ eggs (“Remove it? Don’t be silly. We just put it on the back in 1pt cursive grey; clearly visible with an electron microscope”). Well, there was nothing remotely resembling Easter, written or implied, on or even in the empty Cadbury cartons on my floor this morning. Cadbury is now off my Easter shopping list; in fact off my shopping list period.

I wonder if the Zoroastrians were offended by the typeface? Or maybe Christianity is just “so last year”. I wonder what is planning to replace it?

Hello Sailor…do you know what Easter stands for?

      • Are you referring to the pragmatic merging ot the original Pagan celebration with the time of the Christian one? Much like Christmas? Or something else that I haven’t come across?
