A big loss. People loved him. And people loved to hate him. The good news is he’s immortalized on You Tube. Thank god for capitalism.

    • Some people loved him. There’s a significant difference to ‘people’.

      • Yes there is Pete, however, there is no doubt he is one of the most widely watched and respected journalist/authors in the world.

A VERY big scalp for Liberals.

widely watched=yes, respected=no’.The tide comes in ,the tide goes out’….lightweight ,right wing ,jingoist who never had an original idea, and was mercilessly shown up by his guests time and time again.Lied about the Peabody award and was caught out.No loss to anyone with independent thought processes.A bully and an indiscrete predator to all accounts.

What a sour individual are, Blazer. Show us a clip of ole Bill getting his beans from a guest for old times sake. I don’t usually do this, but I’m down ticking you for your liberal nastiness.

“there is no doubt he is one of the most widely watched and respected journalist/authors in the world.”

FYI, his average viewership at 3.76 million is less than John Oliver at 4.1 million.

O’Reilly’s a big scalp for the liberals?

Puh-lease, if the liberals were after scalps then why didn’t they go after Sean Hannity? He is, by any objective measure, more conservative than O’Reilly, more of a Republican lapdog. Certainly more of a Trump toady.

Despite his odious politics, though, there have never been any suggestion, not the quietest whisper, that Hannity treats women around him this way.

O’Reilly and Fox have paid millions to settle claims against him over the years, claims he said were all lies. I don’t care how much money you have, you don’t pay that kind of money to make fake charges go away.

  2. Nothing changes the fact these are allegations only. As for innocent until proven guilty, nota factor in a business decision. I think he’s gone primarily because the Murdoch sons saw him getting in the way of their SKY merger.

“a New York Times story two weeks ago, which revealed that Fox News has paid out over $13 million in settlements to five different women between 2002 and 2016.”

      Do the innocent settle?

        They’re not *real*…….silly XD

  4. Sexist and abusive behaviour has turned out to be expensive for Fox.

I hope Trump was watching it all.

With the payout to O’Reilly, harassment claims have now cost Fox over US$85 million in severance or settlements.

When Ailes and O’Reilly walked away they became instant multi-millionaires from their payouts. Fox News was a willing enabler of theiur harrassment as long as they both contributed positively to the bottom line.
