Community Action Network

Labour have cranked up their election campaign a notch or two.

From their website:

Labour’s Community Action Network Launch

Over the next few months, our members and supporters from Labour’s new community-led grassroots movement, Community Action Network, will be working hard to have thousands of conversations in your community to share Labour’s story and why we need a Labour-led government.

Join Labour Leader Andrew Little and Deputy Leader Jacinda Ardern as we officially launch Labour’s Community Action Network on Saturday 6th of May in South Auckland.

LDS Church

I guess it’s just a venue but odd to see the launch in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

This is an interesting approach to campaigning by Labour,  jumping on the ‘movement’ bandwagon, trying to make it look like more than a political parry trying to get into power.

Labelling it a “massive people powered movement” is going to be challenging to deliver on.

It may work. Or it may just be renaming the faithful troops who have stuck with the party in it’s decline.

I am on the mailing list for the Action Station:
It is a lefty, green, get people involved organisation. It claims to be non political
Sounds like Labour attempting to rip them off

    • Labour have used a number of Green campaign strategies over the last few months., like email harvesting (from surveys and petitions) and micro donation emails.

That was an excellent campaign start today, really enjoyed listening to Andrew Little and the other MPs plus meeting the candidates. That was a lot of enthusiastic people, the LDS singers were superb. Thanks to the organizers, very enjoyable..

I call bullshit on some of this comment…………Andrew Little is NEVER enjoyable to listen to whatever the occasion……..especially live in person.

Definitely sounds like picking up the Trump idea of calling your supporters a “movement”.

It will be interesting to see how it rolls. Andrew’s no Trump.

Labour’s campaign will be a ‘movement’ – just a different meaning of the word that’s all……
