So Blazer..your take on the fight? I have only seen selected scenes, but the final flurry when Parker piled on at least five point with speed and vicious power reminds me of a fight we saw recently…Tubbs v Tyson. And that’s the sweet science Parker will need to take Joshua out.

well if ever there was any doubt that you have NFI about boxing, you just removed it.Going the distance against a former sparring partner,a slug rated 78th in the world and winning on points is signalling in neon lights Parker has no credible chance of staying with a minimum of 10 other heavyweights that are around atm.Against Joshua it would be a cruel massacre ,mwith Parker getting knocked out by…reality. The hype has already been stretched to the max.

Hype? Question to Kevin Barry: Does JP have the power of Joshua? Reply:” No, but he has hand speed and excellent movement ( Tysons specialty). That is a devastating combination to have.”

And what of his opponent? An ex sparring partner who knows Parker well. An opponent Parker didn’t train to fight. A big man who could take a beat. Do you expect a knockout every time, Blazer? For the record, Parker won by a unanimous points decision. In other words, a decisive win.

Your lack of boxing nous lets you down again, Blazer.

Well, you would expect them to say that. Here’s your problem. You cherry pick problems out of context. You rely on what people say because you don’t know boxing. Parker didn’t have a great fight, Guess what? There could be many reasons….personally I think he was flat because he was hyped to take on Fury. In the fight above, Rasvan is dropped by a great punch. Yeah, hence the saying ” you don’t blink during a heavyweight fight.” Don’t forget our original argument is over what is needed to beat Joshua…that being speed and movement like Tyson.

The great thing is Parker will fight Fury. Then we can get a better gauge on things. If Parkers loses first up to Fury then obviously he will need to go back to the drawing board.

In the mean time learn about boxing….so you don’t need tp parrot what so called experts and Joe Blows have to say…..

um Corky…a few facts…D.Dennis is not ..rated’…Parker had been in training camp for 12 weeks. His ex sparring partner had 12 days notice to prepare.’Don’t forget our original argument is over what is needed to beat Joshua…’…no it was…not.Time and again you show you have N.F.I.

Boxing ignorance again. Even the best heavy weight can face the prospect of the one punch knockdown, or a lucky punch.. hence the saying ‘Don’t Blink.’ Training can’t always save you.

Parker had 12 weeks training camp…yeah, to fight Fury.

His opponent had 12 days notice…..so he was nice and rested? Such arguments are meaningless.

Do you read.? No. The only Sweet Science’ you know is the science of bullshite and bluster…to hide you ignorance and non interest in boxing.

My suggestion for JP is that he quits Kevin Barry, and does a deal with the Klitschko boys – if Joshua had not KOd Wladamer I believe he would have won on points – and that shows the style, grace, power at his age, but most importantly his fight acumen – but the question on this is would the Klitschko Team take JP under their wing?? At this point I suspect not.

Barry has been in the game a long time and knows it well, and I think he knows Samoan Culture well to where family is important and he’s part of that family

The next fight for Duco is the biggest ever with Horn V Pacman and that may well cement their legacy. Should Horn win, boxing is a strange place so maybe JP will get a benefit from that.

JP is humble, comes across well…. be great for him to have the 4 main belts

@nelly your intel looks good as the lead story at 6am on the Herald is the potential Duco split. Given they say Lonergan is close to Barry, but Parker is more aligned with Higgins , maybe a new trainer is on the horizon. Maybe Bob Arum is going to take Higgins on

Considering that under the Misuse of Drugs Act the punishment for possession of cannabis is a relatively mere $500 it’s no wonder if people in need of medical cannabis are choosing to get their stash from the local Hells Angel instead of buying Sativex. Still, dealing with dealers isn’t exactly the safest thing to do (it’s estimated that buying cannabis from gangs and such puts up to $160m into their pockets), and you never really know what you’re getting. But you can always buy legit medical grade from overseas from like Colorado where it’s legal and only risk imprisonment for up to 8 years … oh wait.

By the way, based on figures from NZ Drug Harm Index if the cannabis was decriminalised it would save the government around $200m. And if it was legalised the government would received a net benefit of around $25m.

  4. “ANZ is reviewing its sponsorship of the Auckland Property Investors Association after a video distributed by them encouraged people to use ruthless tactics to secure bargain house prices.

The video by investment guru Ron Hoy Fong, called ‘How to make massive profit in today’s property market’ gives tips to buyers on where to find the most desperate or motivated sellers, and exploit them for profit, the NZ Herald reports.

These include “dummies”, “divorcees”, deceased estates, mortgagee sales and developers on the brink of bankruptcy.”

ANZ can talk!!! Still, they’ll wanna maintain their untarnished image and protect the immaculate reputation of the whole banking industry …

    https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/property-investment-coach-slammed-encouraging-exploitation-dummies

Front page of Sunday Herald or Star-Times … or whatever passes for the Sunday papers nowadays …

The spelling in this article from TVOne’s website is utterly atrocious … “distributed by the encouraged people” … and “Those includes “dummies” …”
