There’s a lot of things happening of interest around the world, from the Brexit split between the United Kingdom and the European Union to Donald Trump’s young presidency in the United States, from the civil war in Syria and the associated surrounding Middle East mess, to growing tensions around North Korea and China.

/ 13th May 2017There are terrible things happening all over the world, ATM. Life isn’t easy here either. Even the people, who are ‘lucky’ enough to have a mortgage, are living ‘week to week’. Personally, I am so glad that I reluctantly bought a property for $100k, in 2001, with no deposit, that I sold in 2004, for $240k. But here’s the problem…
I now owe the bank 3x what I paid for our first home. I can afford to service the mortgage, & have almost 35% equity (against CV, according to a trademe valuation, its 40%)
The really crazy thing, about this financial fuckwittery, is that I am supposedly wealthy. Supposedly… Out of the $950 I get in the hand each week, $450 goes straight on the house. Not repairing it, or insuring it, just servicing debt. And I don’t live in Auckland.

/ 13th May 2017I’m normally not the sort of person, who enjoys speculating on the motives of others. But at this juncture, I’m really interested about why the ‘downthumber’ is still ‘doing it’ at 3am. Is his ‘masterbatorium’ too cold for comfort???
