Putin backs Trump on what was revealed

Vladimir Putin has come out in support of Donald Trump in the furore, contrived or real, over what Trump told the Russian foreign minister and ambassador at a White House meeting.

BBC: Trump-Russia row: Putin offers to release meeting record

Vladimir Putin has waded into the growing row surrounding US President Donald Trump and his links to Russia.

US media say Mr Trump passed on classified information to Russian officials last week, but Mr Putin says this is not the case.

He said he would release a record of the meeting to the US Congress if they requested it.

Would it be a first for a Russian supplied transcript to be used to settle a US political ruckus?

How would the Russians have a record of the meeting? A tape?

In the meantime in a speech Trump claims to be a victim again, blaming the media again.

As for Mr Trump, he told US Coast Guard Academy graduates in Connecticut: “No politician in history has been treated worse or more unfairly.”

Despite this he claims to have made “tremendous accomplishments”.

Guardian: Trump claims ‘tremendous’ accomplishments amid Comey scandal has more on his speech:

Over the course of your life, you will find that things are not always fair. You will find that things happen to you that you do not deserve and that are not always warranted…

Look at the way I’ve been treated lately. Especially by the media. No politician in history, and I say with with great surety, has been treated worse, or more unfairly. You can’t let them get you down. You can’t let the critics and the naysayers get in the way of your dreams…

The more righteous your fight, the more opposition you will face. I have accomplished a tremendous amount in a very short time as president.”

It may not all be tremendously good though.

  1. I would guess that Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield, William McKinley and John F. Kennedy would have had a reasonable claim to being treated worse or more unfairly if they had survived their assassinations.

  3. What a bear hug that was from Putin. Was he shafting Trump subtly by supporting him in an internal political row in the states?

The Russian link is fundamental to the Democrat legend and the threat to that is posed by the publicity surrounding Rich, the DNC IT manager’s murder immediately after the Wikileaks published the DNC emails that exposed the Clinton supporters backstabbing of her opposing candidate and led to the resignation of the DNC Chair. Hence the immediate WaPo article about classified information being passed by Trump to Russia.

I have viewed a video where ordinary people in the US were being asked if they knew anything about the Rich affair and it is probably not surprising that only one out of ten could respond at all.

If your intel is coming from Infowars & Alex Jones & Paul Joseph Watson Bj, you need to do a little bit more recon into Infowars & Prison Planet. Seriously. Batshit crazy. Deep State/ Illuminati/ New World Order/ Aliens are in contact with the government/ US Govt Steers Tornados/ FEMA Concentration Camps/ Obama is coming for your guns – total nutters, colonel.

“It took only hours for one of the biggest stories in conservative media this week, which some outlets had chosen to focus on over news that President Trump disclosed classified information to senior Russian officials, to fall apart.

On Monday night, Rod Wheeler, a private investigator and Fox News contributor, put things in motion during an interview with WTTG-TV, a Fox affiliate in Washington.

Wheeler, who was under contract with the family of Seth Rich, a Democratic National Committee staffer who was fatally shot in July, told WTTG-TV evidence existed that proved Rich had been in contact with Wikileaks before his death. For months, right-wing media outlets have floated unproven theories that Rich was the person who provided Wikileaks thousands of internal DNC emails, and that his death might have been connected with the supposed leak.

Fox News on Tuesday morning joined in the chorus, publishing a lead story on its website about the “DC MURDER MYSTERY.” The story said Wheeler had made the claim Wikileaks had been in contact with Rich. It added that a federal investigator, who it said had spoken on the condition of anonymity, corroborated it.

But Tuesday afternoon, Wheeler told CNN he had no evidence to suggest Rich had contacted Wikileaks before his death. Wheeler instead said he only learned about the possible existence of such evidence through the reporter he spoke to for the FoxNews.com story. He explained that the comments he made to WTTG-TV were intended to simply preview Fox News’ Tuesday story. The WTTG-TV news director did not respond to multiple requests for comment. “I only got that [information] from the reporter at Fox News,” Wheeler told CNN.

Asked about a quote attributed to him in the Fox News story in which he said his “investigation up to this point shows there was some degree of email exchange between Seth Rich and Wikileaks,” Wheeler said he was referring to information that had already been reported in the media. A Fox News spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment by the time of publication.

Earlier Tuesday, Brad Bauman, a spokesman for the Rich family, released a statement in which he said the family had “seen no evidence” to suggest Seth Rich had been in contact with Wikileaks. Bauman told CNN the outlets that had run with the story “have shown over and over again that they are willing to lie and manipulate the facts” to further “their own political end.” “I think it’s important for everyone at Fox News to be careful with this information and how this story breaks because using the legacy of a murder victim in such an overtly political way is morally reprehensible,” he said.

Bauman also said the Rich family was reviewing possible legal action against Wheeler for speaking about the case publicly. A contract between Wheeler and the Rich family prohibited Wheeler from speaking to the media about his ongoing investigation, Bauman said. “It is possible that this private investigator is in breach of a non disclosure contract,” Bauman told CNN, adding that the private investigator’s public comments have “seriously impeded the ability of the Metropolitan Police Department to investigate.”

Asked whether he was in breach of a contract, Wheeler said, “I don’t know, it’s hard to say.” “I think that’s something I will have to work out with [the family],” he added.”

      • Gezza, I do not need a lecture from you about sources. The truth will out in the end. Have you read Harry Read’s letter to Comey spelling out, as leader of the Democrats in the Senate, the Democrats case gainst Trump. When you read it I think that you may concede how tenuous the case against Trump and his team actually is. He even states that Trump may have been used “unwittingly” by the Russians, but no evidence and purely speculative.

It seems that memorialising one’s recollections of the meeting is pretty standard practice, particularly when one of the protagonists is a loose-lipped liar.

An ambassador will always give a detailed report to his superiors of a meeting with the president of the country he is assigned to.

No politician in history, and I say with with great surety, has been treated worse, or more unfairly.

Ummm, you might want to ask Presidents Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, and Kennedy about that… or maybe Clementa Pinckney, or Harvey Milk, or George Moscone, Robert Kennedy… or maybe look wider afield and ask Benazir Bhutto, Indira Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi, or King Faisel… or maybe the US presidents who were the subjects of impeachment proceedings before you…

“Trump claims to be a victim again, blaming the media again.”

The global media are out to get him. We saw that during the Presidential campaign – they threw everything they had at him and still got hammered. Trump Derrangement Syndrome followed.

Now the MSM is doubling down and will do everything they can for the Democrat Party to punish Trump for destroying Hillary. The swamp is full of very powerful and rich Globalist operators.

“John McCain said that calls from congressional Democrats to impeach President Trump are not “rational” adding that “I don’t think very many people take that very seriously,” he said Wednesday.”

Ha ha, see? Lots of Trump Derrangement Syndrome hysterics, but no substance.

  8. you could get CNN to admit it but, in relation to the Comey memo:

“Amidst all the frenzy however, CNN’s Dana Bash let slip the truth – that the memo is just the latest volley in the Hillary-aligned deep state’s revenge campaign against President Trump.

“If you just take a step back, Wolf, just in the past 24 hours, right or wrong, what this president has done, his first 100 plus days, even before he came into office is pick fights with the intelligence community and now the law enforcement community. Particularly the way, never mind he fired James Comey, but the way in which he did it, not giving him the respect of actually telling him in person or at least not having him find out from cable news,” said Bash.

“So we know that they talk about the deep state—well these are communities that have a lot of loyalty within and know how to get back, even if you’re the president of the United States,” she added.

Former CIA analyst and retired U.S. Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Tony Shaffer echoed Bash’s sentiments during an appearance on Fox Business with Lou Dobbs.

“This is truly deep state,” said Shaffer. “This is something being done by those in the deep state to upset everything that’s going on and try to undermine the president in every breath.”I never thought Let’s not forget that before Trump was even inaugurated, Senator Chuck Schumer told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow (with a sadistic glint in his eyes) that the deep state would make it their mission to take down Trump.

“Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community, they have six ways from Sunday of getting back at you,” said Schumer, adding that Trump was being “really dumb” to get in their way.
The deep state is intent on pressuring Congress into bringing impeachment charges against Trump because he dared to take them on, and the Comey memo is merely the latest step in that direction.”
