You can be a rat bag, PDB. Lurchy has probably sent an email to Green HQ.

        • It will be interesting to see if TOP shows up in the polls now and how their cannabis policy affects other parties, particularly National’s ratings?

National voters have got some serious ‘Voter Compromise’ to consider … e.g. “pandering to Maori” and “Socialist Housing” policies … and now whether cannabis law reform is a significant enough ‘symptom of personal freedom’ to add to their growing connundrum?

I suppose Righties have the option to go FURTHER RIGHT, vote ACT and, based on their lack of cannabis policy (I can find) and their ‘Safer Society’ manifesto, spend even more “other people’s money” on enforcement of, prosecution and incarceration for breaking grossly and evidently unjust laws … Now that’s REAL individual freedom!

Stoners voting on a single policy might vote TOP but the majority wont go near them because the rest of their manifesto is bat-shit crazy…..

            • Which is NOT to address the issue of Rightie ‘Voter Compromise’, is it PDB?

So you reckon National voters will tolerate “pandering to Maori”, Socialist Housing and continuation of unjust cannabis law rather than consider casting their votes elsewhere …?

So, just how bad does National have to get before you’ll consider another option that isn’t worse?

The typical ‘National voter’ is nowadays a broad church consisting of both traditional centre-left labour and centre-right National voters. National itself straddles the middle of the political divide. Most people in this country are neither particularly ‘left or right’ hence why National is the largest supported party.

As to your question – aside from those voters who vote on single-policy issues most National voters will continue to vote National because there is no alternative party to vote for when all party policies are looked at together and not in isolation.

            • @ PDB – ” … most National voters will continue to vote National because there is no alternative party to vote for when all party policies are looked at together …”

Even if it means their own children going to prison for being ‘criminalised’ by grossly, verifiably unjust laws?

              I guess from a political party’s point-of-view that’s a good thing to know … a good thing for National to know …

Depending on how things pan out, a new sign might read: ‘Please give a little to help the American press survive.’

Sad to learn that Chris Cornell’s death was due to suicide – hate to think what drove him to it.

These vicious Polynesian ferals showed no mercy. Lucky they weren’t in a killing mood. Look at the feral eyes in one picture. Police said they were ‘disgusted by their actions.’ Big deal. If these shop owners were armed they may have had a chance to fight back. No big deal though, it’s just a diary. One good thing, these crooks are as thick as a
a piece of4by2. They should have left the guy built like the Titanic, outside. Like the Titanic he will sink them all.

Great news. Lets hope they are ‘softened’ while on remand. Titanic could do with a good baton massage.

Not a great Sound Garden fan, but they answered a question I had always asked myself:
‘What would the Beatles sound like if George and John cut loose on their guitars? The nearest they got in my opinion was ‘Revolution.’. Sound Garden answered my question with this very raw cover of Come Together. This song also contains one of the reasons why Sound Garden split. Thyal wanted to keep a hard rock influence, while the other band
    members wanted to move on.

That’s a great vesion. I like that. Closest the Beatles got to that would be Helter Skelter, Corks, I reckon.
