The Griffin side show

Another person who doesn’t know when to let something they caused go.

I’m not afraid of Donald Trump. He’s a bully. I’ve dealt with older white guys trying to keep me down my whole life, my whole career.

Kathy Griffin broke down in tears during a news conference the comedian and her lawyers held Friday to discuss the fallout from the comedian posing with a likeness of President Donald Trump’s severed head.

Griffin addressed the backlash that followed the photo being published on Tuesday, telling reporters her career is over after she says the Trump family systematically “mobilized their armies” against her.

“I’m going to be honest,” she said through tears. “He broke me, he broke me, he broke me.”

This is the first time Griffin has spoken out since she was relieved of her duties Wednesday as CNN’s New Year’s Eve host. When asked by a reporter if she has heard from her New Year’s Eve co-host Anderson Cooper, she shook her head while holding back tears.

“It’s hurtful to me,” Griffin said. “There’s a bunch of old white guys trying to silence me and I’m just here to say that it’s wrong.”

She did not mention being dumped as Squatty Potty’s celebrity spokesperson.

“I made a horrible, horrible call,” she said. “Trust me, if I could redo the whole thing I’d have a blow up doll and no ketchup.”

She also repeated her claim that the video was a parody, meant as a pointed comeback to Trump’s remark last summer that journalist Megyn Kelly had “blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of wherever.”

“The message is clear,” Bloom stated. “Criticize the president lose your job and that’s what happened to Kathy…it stops here, it stops now.”

Competing with Trump as to who the biggest victim is.

Not just a fool but a whimpering prat.

As they say “any publicity is good publicity”. Kathy Griffin is no shrinking violet – she’ll be loving every minute. It was a bad gag, but what the hell, time to milk a crisis.

Yes, she’s trying to play it and will probably get some of the loony Left on board with her.

I wouldn’t write her off just yet, Al. If she can put a decent brief together with all the tweets n stuff, get it into the right Court, & base the case on Trumpy’s evilness, she might yet win a Court Order directing the White House to let her perform there if she’s now unemployable everywhere else except Hillary rallies, where those would probably be unpaid gigs anyway.

Perhaps Trump could offer her a job as Sean’s warm up act? She could have a love-in with the Lefty media and by the time Sean came in they wouldn’t have any questions left because they’d have all the answers they really wanted already. So they’d go away and write the same stories they were always going to write anyway and Sean could just make a joke and leave.

One gets the feeling the whole thing has been staged from start to finish but perhaps not quite going totally to script. Watching the behind the scenes video she predicted the backlash, probably had her apology ready to go to the family and then was hoping to up her earnings by becoming the darling of the left, worked for Madonna and Snoop Dogg et al.
She certainly got her 15 minutes and when you add in Hilary,s blame tour this week hasnt been a good one for the lefties.

Still, now that Donald’s decided to singlehandedly *destroy the world’s climate*, David, there’s scope for a slight leftward recovery perhaps ? 😉

  3. And Trump continues with the important things when running a country:

except he’s not running the country

Quite funny, I thought. And a pretty efficient response to an egregious political attack on himself and his family. Probably took all of a couple of minutes.

PG: “Competing with Trump as to who the biggest victim is.”

I think Hillary is leading the pack in that particular race.

    • Yes, certainly a contender, but I don’t think she’ll be able to keep it up for four years.

As David says, this has been staged. There is no remorse from this woman, except that perhaps she thought she would get more support from liberals. In 2016 she said that Comedy should go all out on Trump, but not only Donald Trump, she also said “…So I’m happy to deliver beat down to Donald Trump — and also to Barron. You know a lot of comics are going to go hard for Donald, my edge is that I’ll go direct for Barron. I’m going to get in ahead of the game.”

To suggest last year that she would target a child is despicable.

The comments of her lawyer suggesting Barron Trump wasn’t affected by the image is even worse.

This has more than stepped over the line, she has fully jumped it by a mile. Essentially she – and her lawyers – are happy to target an 11 year old in their hatred of his father.

She deserves to lose her career.

“Griffin believes that she has received so much backlash because she is a woman. “This wouldn’t be happening to a guy,” Griffin asserted. “This is a woman thing.”

Liberal American woman playing the misogyny card, claiming she is the victim, and not taking responsibilities for her actions……..sounds familiar.

Yep, and it isn’t just liberal American woman who do this. Liberals the world over like to play the misogyny/sexist/racist charge.
