I think something that might cut down on home grown extreminism it could be EXILE.Say a member of your family hates his country so much to mass kill, that every one in the extended family is sent back to where they came from, whether born there or not, plus they loss all their assets to be distributed
to the victims.Harsh but fair.Allah will have to provide

Yes, I agree with you Lurch. The solution has to be kicking the enemy out of the house. And we won’t be getting any more “good family man” epitaphs when his family is thrown out of the civilised country back to the hell-hole they came from.

Got my vote Lurch. Problem is whether the home country will accept them back if they’re not citizens holding passports of that country.

You do realise that the mass killers in NZ were all Kiwi-born, with the possible exception of Stanley Graham who was, I think, English ?

What if the people are born in the country and therefore citizens ?

I imagine that if one of Lurcher’s family committed a crime, he would take a dim view of being stripped of his assets when he had nothing to do with the criminal action. My brother has a drugs conviction, but it would be grossly unfair to punish me for this.

It’s rather unfair to the people they kill too, Kitty. So the prospect of their families being seriously harmed by their own actions will hopefully forestall anyone being killed or harmed.

Lurch is proposing if the parents get shipped out kids go too. Traditionally kids born to overseas resident parents have dual citizenship anyway.

No problem Gezza, move all the rejected muslim families to Gruinard Island of Scotland with tents and a lovely Saudi built mosque and put them under UN control, see problem solved

Stephen Joyces reply when asked whether increasing the accomodation supplement encouraged landlords to raise rents….’keeping an eye on it’….how…apt!

There are two issues that currently challenge humanity.

There is an argument about the validity of one and even if it is valid it will happen over time and humanity will learn to adapt. The outcome is at best unpredictable.

There is no argument about the other and its effect and outcome are very predictable. It is upon us now and is probably irreversible.

The challenge of the first will send half of humanity broke and reality of the second will render half of humanity dead

Trump at least has his priorities right.

    • One priority is identifying a problem, another is identifying an achievable solution. Trump hasn’t worked out the latter very well.

If you are looking to politicians to identify a solution to the latter I think you’ll be waiting a long time. They can’t even bring themselves to name the problem. The best we can expect from Trump is a policy of containment
