Trump praises himself, attacks media and Court

President Donald Trump continues to attack the media and US courts via Twitter, and conducts a session of praise of himself with hos Cabinet.

Washington Times:  Trump’s tweets slam the media, 9th Circuit Court of Appeals

“The Fake News Media has never been so wrong or so dirty. Purposely incorrect stories and phony sources to meet their agenda of hate. Sad!”

Sad for the President to resort to this type of attack on the media. As flawed as they are the media still has a duty to hold the President and his administration to account.

“Well, as predicted, the 9th Circuit did it again – Ruled against the TRAVEL BAN at such a dangerous time in the history of our country. S.C.”

And it’s dangerous for a President to become publicly involved in matters before the courts.

But Trump managed to get some praise published in media – praise from himself and his Cabinet.

NBC News:  At First Full Meeting, Trump Claims Historic Success — and Cabinet Rushes to Pay Him Tribute

President Donald Trump blamed “obstructionist” Democrats for slowing his agenda Monday, even as he lauded his success as historic — an assessment many of his Cabinet members lined up, one by one, to endorse.

Meeting at the White House with his entire Cabinet for the first time, Trump used his opening remarks to blame Democrats for delaying the meeting, saying they’d held up key appointments in the Senate to score political points.

(Senate rules require only 51 votes to confirm presidential appointees, so the Republican majority has enough votes to approve Trump’s picks on its own. Democrats can do little more than delay the process.)

Trump went on to boast that he had already accomplished more than most other presidents in U.S. history.

“Never has there been a president — with few exceptions, in the case of FDR, he had a major Depression to handle — who’s passed more legislation, who’s done more things than what we’ve done,” Trump said. “I think we’ve been about as active as you can possibly be at a just about record-setting pace.”

Trump added that he was following through on his campaign promises “at a much faster pace than anyone thought,” citing executive orders, the rollback of government regulations and 34 bills passed by Congress.

So Trump is claiming unprecedented success, but also a lack of success due to obstruction.

Meanwhile, almost all of the legislation signed by Trump has been relatively small-bore; many of those measures include naming people to positions and designating buildings.

Congressional Republicans have increasingly voiced concern about the slow pace of legislative accomplishments on health care, tax reform and other issues.

As for nominations, the real bottleneck in the process, Democrats and others say, is at the White House, which has yet to appointment nominees to fill many vacant positions in the government.

Regardless of reality, Trump was joined by his Cabinet in a praisefest.

As Trump went around the large table, one by one, most praised the president, while others gave brief updates on their departments’ work.

It was all too much for Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer of New York, who tweeted a “staff meeting” parodying the White House flattery festival.

I’m not sure that parody is necessary, Trump is an ongoing self parody.

The similarities with Kim Jong-un are remarkable. What’s next? Lining the dissidents up in front of an anti-aircraft gun?

Too early to make that call.
And Tony Blair would have to be in the top 3 contenders at the moment, imo.

Looks like Kasowitz could be coming up in line to testify before the Senate hearing… be interesting to hear from Bharara as well…

Marc Kasowitz, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer in the Russia investigation, has boasted to friends and colleagues that he played a central role in the firing of Preet Bharara, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, according to four people familiar with the conversations.

Trey Gowdy Just Announced Indisputable Evidence Found During The Clinton Compound Raid.
The raid on the Clinton compound in upstate New York last month yielded some interesting results, even if it was accidental. With a full compliance warrant in hand to search the grounds for any and all signs of criminal activity, not only did the feds find and lock away a murderer, they apparently also dug up a key piece of evidence that crushes Hillary Clinton’s defence.
Trey Gowdy, head of the ongoing Committee To Convict Clinton,
“WHAT WE HAVE HERE, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, ARE THE 43 SO-CALLED ‘DESTROYED’ BLACKBERRIES THAT THE SECRETARY TESTIFIED UNDER OATH HAD BEEN SMASHED WITH HAMMERS AS A MATTER OF NATIONAL SECURITY. THEY WERE BURIED IN A STRONGBOX NEAR THE SITE OF THE KILL ROOM FOUND AT THE CHAPAQUADDA RANC
WE ALSO FOUND FAKE PASSPORTS AND NEARLY A MILLION DOLLARS IN CASH, AS WELL AS WHAT THOSE IN HIGH-LEVEL SPYING OR POLITICS CALL A ‘GO BAG,’ COMPLETE WITH KEYS TO UNKNOWN VEHICLES, 4 GUNS, A FEW DAYS WORTH OF WATER AND SOME RATIONS. WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS ONE OF PROBABLY MANY SUCH LIKE IT AROUND THE COUNTRY AND ACROSS THE WORLD.”
The Clinton Crime Syndicate may be on its way down, but with their clout and power, it will be difficult to bring them to justice. Even now, knowing what was pulled out of the ground for nearly a month, they sit calmly on the porch of that same house, sipping vodka lemonades and pretending the law doesn’t apply to them.”

The next report is about the raid on the Clinton Foundation FlagShip in Baltimore Harbour SS CHELSEA. Following a tip off, Federal authorities raided the ship and found aboard 460 undocumented aliens mainly from the Middle East, none of whom had been vetted. Also found aboard were a large amount of Marijuana, weapons without registration numbers , and an amount of black heroin.
According to Breaking News, The ships of the Clinton Foundation have been ordered to return to US after dropping their relief supplies for inspection. Two ships in the fleet immediately switched off their transponders. They were in the “deep Pacific” at the time and have not been located. Chelsea reportedly explained that the Foundation did not own the ships per se. A seperate entity owned by her parents Bill and Hilary were responsible for all aspects of the operation
The question now is when will the Clinton’s air fleet of up to 12 C130 aircraft plus a range of different types of helicopters be checked out?
There is also rumours that Chelsea was arrested for disorderly conduct outside a closed brewery that used the label 33 recently. She was throwing rocks at the windows of the brewery loudly demanding to know the meaning of 33.
I thought I should lighten your day after listening to General Sessions demolish the Russia Conspiracy single handed.
I am sure I can hear the gurgle?

    • Sessions said he didn’t know anything about what Russia has done apart from what he has heard on the news, because he recused himself as soon as he became AG (and didn’t tell the public for a month).

The chief law enforcement officer of the United States was never briefed on Russia’s hacking of one of its major political parties, or any other efforts by Russia to mess with the elections — past and future.
Why? Because he personally recused himself from all things related to the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia the day after he was sworn into office. What Sessions didn’t explain is why he waited a month to tell the public — and his own associates — that he had stepped aside from the probe.
Comey testified last week that as of February 14, he still believed Sessions had not recused himself — but that he almost certainly would. In fact, according to Sessions, he had recused himself two weeks earlier.
Also, he’s not 100% sure that Russia messed with the election, because he’s only read news reports about it.

  8. AC, true to form at least you are consistent. Deny anything and add nothing.
Pete George, yes, General Sessions recused himself immediately after being sworn in from having anything to do with the events of the campaign in accordance with DOJ regulations that preclude investigation or involvement in an investigation by any DOJ employee who had been involved in the events under investigation. He actually sought advice from the legal counsel before ensuring his Chief of Staff notified all DOJ staff -including Comey – not to brief him of inform of any matters under investigation about the Campaign given his participation in the Trump campaign team. Comey had denied being briefed about the reasons for the recusal UNDER OATH, but Sessions produced the Chief of Staff’s memo that clearly names Comey as one of the recipients. So Comey lied under path.
