The whale occasionally throws up a real pearl from its more articulate commenters. Such is the case today where George cuts loose on labours current clusterf&@k…

“Three men, representing the same political party, having a plan to recruit supporters to their cause. A plan that advanced incompetence to insanity. A plan that contradicted every policy platform they were promoting. Take a bow, Andrew Little, Matt McCarten and Nigel Haworth. It is hard to believe that fate could assemble such incompetence, three men in the same room, at the same time, all leading members of the same political party, and all unaware of the implications of this insanity. What were the odds? Being Labour, about even.”

Sure. No problem. Blazer – see comment above.

    • George is a gem! An intelligent thinker, very often outside the square, and has a delightful way with words. I subscribe to his comments to ensure none are missed.

RNZ “welcomes your comments and emails”. I too would like to know what other people think of RNZ’s offerings. Alas, it would be a dangerous thing for the public to know public opinion- it could be way out of whack with R-N-Z’s. Their “Go ahead caller” typifies the stereotypical view of the public.

Well, mostly I like them but some of them can be a bit boring sometimes, or a bit too seriously holier-than-thou, in the case of John Campbell. I don’t think he can do much about it, tbh. It’s partly just the way he seems to naturally talk.

Liken it to Mike Hosking’s smug condescension. Except one is usually sticking up for the little guy, and the other guy serving himself while pretending to be an everyman.

Well, must admit pretty well most times I see him on the teev or hear him on the airwaves I have pleasant visions of someone puncturing all four of his tyres at the traffic lights during peak hour traffic just before the light turns green. But he’s not always wrong & I’m glad he’s on air. A little bit of opposing views to mine is good for me.
