It’s not storage, it’s page-loading of online news pages with lotsa graphics, animations & or videos trav. Pages take forever to load & often crash. I blame the government. (It’s not their fault, it’s just a quick automatic reaction.)

Hmm. Still doesn’t help much. It’s an iPad not an iPhone & I run it on private browsing so there shouldn’t be much too much RAM being taken up with storing urls etc. I’m thinking it just doesn’t have enough RAM to load & hold pages with lotsa graphics. Once we get a few Youtube music vids posted on Open Forum for example, I might as well just give away trying to open the page. Can’t find anywhere to tweak.

It’s an ipad 2, A5 chip, 512 Mb ram, not upgradable past OS 9.3.5.
Which means, sadly, that there is not a lot you can do. Apple products, as great as they are, tend to get bogged down under software updates as they age.
Unfortunately there is no way to uninstall the OS and go back to an earlier version.

              Maybe try a different browser. Here’s a list http://www.macworld.co.uk/feature/iosapps/best-iphone-browser-2017-3621607/

Ghostery may be a good option as it blocks all the trackers (there can be up to 30 on a single page) and adverts, and it’s most likely the adverts that crash the pages at the moment.

I have the same issues on my (oldish) Nokia 920 phone. The media websites are being upgraded with monstrous home pages splattered with pics and adverts and the browser just crashes. My iPad though is not so bad.

I like the phone because it has wireless charging though and everything else works well.

The Whaler posted this article on Islam yesterday. We often debate certain aspects of Islam. However, when all the possible negative affects of Islam are laid out in list form, it becomes obvious how far reaching Sharia Law will become in the West. A handful of these things are already raising their ugly head in New Zealand

Here’s one for Kitty. She had a problem with this assertion previously.

    Quote:

”To all female doctors and nurses:
You are allowed to only treat girls and women. Women are people that look like women and not those that feel like women.”

”To all male doctors and nurses:
You are allowed to only care for boys and men. The deciding factor here too is appearance.”

One more for the Catholic Church

    ”To all monks and nuns:
Your position is forbidden in Islam. Monastery’s are not worth being protected. The accumulated wealth, including all church real estate, would definitely be very welcome in an Islamic charity foundation.” Holy crap!!!

Untrue, Pete. I have posted examples. It’s true he has been campaigning against Islam incessantly. That’s good in my opinion. When someone slaps you in the face, chances are they don’t like you. The Whaler is pointing that out to an unreceptive public who will only wake up when kiwi blood is spilt in down town Auckland.

A true patriot in my opinion..

You are aiming that cheap shot at the likes of me aren’t you?

Could you describe these “problems” that you think white NZers like me are causing?

“An Auckland Imam who made anti-Semitic speeches says he deserves an apology after copping a storm of backlash.

Dr Mohammad Anwar Sahib, a religious advisor for a body of the Federation of Islamic Association New Zealand, made a controversial speech in November at the At-Taqwa mosque in Manukau.”

Jewish preschooler attacked in New Zealand

“Goodman told The Times of Israel that the attack appeared to be racially motivated. The boy’s mother, who requested not to be identified by name, reported that a man of “Middle Eastern appearance” in his 20s approached her and the children, slapped her son hard on the top of his head, and then ran to a parked car with four people inside.”

            http://www.timesofisrael.com/jewish-preschooler-attacked-in-new-zealand/

So how many muslim children walking to school have been physically assaulted by white NZers like me?

Pete, you need to pack your bags and go live in an mohammedan majority country – you don’t deserve to live in a Western democratic, capitalist society with high social, political stabiltiy and good living standards and personal freedoms.

You are actually still buying into Globalist propaganda about what human nature is.

Globalists see humans as interchangable, standardised work units.

Got a declining white population in Britain contributing to sub par GDP? No worries, just transplant millions of Somalians, Indians and Pakistanis. What could possibly go wrong?

Heard an interview with this doctor on the radio. He is being ostracised for going against political correctness and urging caution on classifying kids as transgender.

Some of the side effects of surgery and hormone use are truly horrendous. They often produce lifetime complications. i doubt the groovy cool transgender kids realise that, or are told that.

A Sydney pediatrician has questioned the readiness of clinicians and courts to permit young people to embark on potentially irreversible medical intervention to alter their gender, describing it as a “dangerous fad” fuelled by “powerful ideologues”.

Western Sydney University professor John Whitehall, who has more than 50 years’ experience treating children, has also expressed concerns that the long-term risks of prescribing puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones in the treatment of gender dysphoria are not fully understood.

The leading pediatrician advocates a “watchful waiting” approach, arguing that international evidence shows a vast majority of children who question their gender will revert to their natal sex by puberty.

While Professor Whitehall’s is a controversial opinion, he is not alone in questioning treatment protocols for gender dysphoria.

As The Australian reported yesterday, a psychiatrist who works with transgender children has told the Family Court he was “yet to be convinced” that young people have the capacity to “fully understand the serious, irreversible, lifelong health risks of hormone treatment to change their sex”.

The opinion, offered in the recent case of a 17-year-old seeking hormonal treatment to reaffirm a decision to live as a male, was backed up by a pediatric endocrinologist, who pointed to lifelong, irreversible risks including breast or uterine cancer, and severe liver dysfunction.

The judge, however, declared that the minor was capable of making a “rational and intelligent choice” and approved the therapy.

Professor Whitehall, who drew a crowd of protesters when he spoke at an Australian Christian Lobby event about the contentious Safe Schools program in Melbourne on Tuesday, said yesterday that colleagues were starting to question the growing acceptance of radical medical intervention to treat the disorder, at least privately. “But we’re up against a small but powerful group of ideologues,” he said, pointing to the transgender lobby, which is campaigning to remove the Family Court from approving medical decisions on behalf of transgender youth.

“All of what we’re currently doing is experimental,” he said. “There’s little evidence of the positive effects … They’re saying there’s no evidence of harm.

          “Well, actually, there is.”

In an article published in Quadrant this month, Professor Whitehall cites several studies overseas that have found hormone deprivation can impact on the brain, affecting memory, executive function and cerebral function.

Professor Whitehall also questioned the sharp increase in the number of transgender youths seeking treatment.

In 2012, there were 18 referrals to the gender clinic run by Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital. That figure rose to 200 last year.

“I think it’s a dangerous fad; a dangerous behavioural fashion trend fuelled by the ideologues and fuelled by the media,” he said. Professor Whitehall said he was concerned that programs such as Safe Schools, which promotes gender fluidity and provides schools with resources to assist students who want to transition, were causing extra pressure.

“Even making that so-called social transition has consequences,” he said. “It nails the child to the cross. It’s very difficult to come back from that.”

The Royal Children’s’ Hospital in Melbourne and the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, which also operates a gender clinic, did not respond to requests for comment.

But why are the atrocities of Marxism/Communism virtually never mentioned?

When our culture is saturated with anti fascist propaganda in film, TV.

Yet more perished under the cruel brutality of Communism.

Is it because Communism is basically a Jewish intellectual invention and they were heavily implicated in carrying out its atrocities?

Jews were carrying out extermination projects BEFORE the Nazis started.

Yet can you or anyone you know name a single one of them?

Hollywood constantly spits out anti fascist propaganda by the likes of Spielberg and Lucas but these same Jews have absolutely nothing to say about the atrocities of Communism. Hmmmm.

Globalists smear anyone as Literally Hitler™ who doesn’t buy into their program.

But calling Progressives “Cultural Marxists” is “ridiculous” and “unfair”.

Being accused in the media of Nazi sympathies can destroy your career and life.

Meanwhile Leftist brag openly to their comrades about their Marxist credentials with no fear of negative consequences – the opposite in fact, it may enhance their career prospects in academia and media.

The few Leftist who are forced to address Communist horrors always rationalise it as: “Our intentions were good.” or “Our hearts were in the right place”, “This time it will be different, we truly will create a glorious workers paradise.”

    http://www.kiwiblog.co.nz/2017/07/labour_no_longer_the_preferred_party_of_working_class_voters.html#comments

    but the question is why?

“If people had any idea about the scale of these changes,” she confided to me early in her first term as MP for Pencarrow,” they’d be horrified. It’s been decided that New Zealand’s future lies in Asia. That’s got massive implications – but most people haven’t a clue. No one asked them and certainly no one’s telling them.”

Corbyn and the Labour Party shocked the political establishment by gaining seats in the election, rather than being wiped out in the predicted Tory landslide. Much has been made of how the young rallied to the vision of the Corbyn, particularly in university towns, delivering historically Conservative seats like Canterbury.

However, while the youth vote is key factor in the result, we should not underestimate the impact that ethnic minority voters had on the outcome.

    Kia ora Spunky
For the many, not just the few.

A few days ago I was at our official campaign launch in Nelson. What a great turnout. More and more people are joining this growing green movement. We are GREAT TOGETHER.

But let’s talk about what’s not great. Just recently I was forwarded an email that the National Party sent out, attacking the opposition. We know they need to attack others to redirect the focus off of their appalling record over the past nine years.

This National government that has failed New Zealanders on housing, conservation, climate change, homelessness, river and water quality, transportation and the economy. National are only concerned about their rich mates, and big business. They are looking after the few at the expense of the many.

LET’S SHOW THEM. That Kiwis care; care about each other; care about our environment; care about our planet. That is our choice.

Let’s take this growing movement and momentum to create positive green change this September. Donate $3 now to help us get our message out there and to make the most of our opportunity, right now, THIS year.

We are competing against other parties who are spending up large, buying advertising and drowning us out!!

The campaign still needs urgent funding for billboards, leaflets, Adshells, digital billboards, and online advertising to get our message out and support our ground campaign team.

A donation of $16 pays for two billboards, $25 for 1000 leaflets, $34 for 80 phone calls or $50 for 3 doorknocking kits.

Any donation you can make now will help.
Help us buy advertising to compete!

This government has turned their backs on hundreds of thousands of ordinary New Zealanders – those who don’t have lots of money or that can’t “buy” their citizenship.

Lots of New Zealanders are doing it hard. Imagine that we in New Zealand have the working poor, people living in cars and garages and shoddy housing just because there is nothing else. Add to that there are so many young people who are working low-paying, temporary or tenuous jobs – if they have one – or they are racking up debt getting an education.

If that isn’t enough, National’s woeful climate “plan” is to spend nearly $10 billion over ten years paying other countries to reduce their emissions so that we don’t have to. Imagine what we could accomplish if we put that money back into this country instead.

And, they’ve turned their backs on our environment, they’ve gutted our conservation agency. They want to open up conservation areas for coal mining and irrigation schemes. They even want to change legislation so they can swap important conservation area for a “pugged-up paddock”.

Only positive green change can turn this around. And the best way is to get positive green change is to donate now so we can purchase advertising.

You’re part of an important and historic moment in New Zealand’s history. Let’s provide a future for our children and grandchildren and know that we did our bit. It’s never been more important to be great together – for all of us, for the many, not just the few.
