Muslim immigration is an assault on the New Zealand identity. It isn’t happening as a natural feature of this countries affairs it is “a deliberate strategy”
    1. The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations is a United Nations initiative that aims to improve understanding and co-operative relations among nations and peoples across cultures and religions and, in the process, to help counter forces that fuel polarisation and extremism, including ‘clash of civilisations’ theories that the world is made up of mutually exclusive cultures, religions, or civilisations, historically distinct and destined for confrontation. The United Nations established the
alliance in 2005, on the co-sponsorship of the prime ministers of Spain and Turkey.
See further United Nations, Alliance of Civilizations (http://www.unaoc.org)
and United Nations (2006). The Ministry of Social Development is leading the
co-ordination of a New Zealand Plan of Action focused on the alliance’s four main
fields of action: education, youth, migration and the media. See further Human Rights
Commission, New Zealand Plan of Action to Support the Alliance of
    Civilisations (http://www.hrc.co.nz/hrc_new/hrc/cms/files/documents/08-Jul-2008_08-
    27-28_1378966DA_-_AOC_Plan_of_Action_final_as_at_May_2008.pdf).

2.yes we acknowledge xenophobia is universal throughout nature, but we don’t work *with* that we must work *against* that – like Generals at Waterloo.

    3. “Well what you said about the nation, I agree with that. The nation is a racist mechanism both internally and externally in the way it includes and excludes, ah, the nation it comes form the word natio which means to be born is a racist concept. To move beyond that is one of the settled tasks.

4.The immigration policy review in 1986 was part of a much larger agenda for change in New Zealand (Bedford 1996). It was not essentially a change in state policy with a primary focus on one region of the world, as Parr (2000:329) suggests, although clearly through the 1980s and 1990s immigration from countries in Asia was a highly topical issue for both politicians and the public. The attitudes of New Zealanders in the mid-1990s towards immigration may not have reflected the positive perspective on the value of diversity in our society that is contained in the Review of Immigration Policy August 1986. But this does not mean that the globalisation of immigration to New Zealand was an “unintended consequence of policy changes in 1986”. It was a deliberate strategy, based on a premise that the “infusion of new elements to New Zealand life has been of immense value to the development of this country to date and will, as a result of this Government’s review of immigration policy, become even more important in the future” (Burke 1986:330). The data on arrivals, departures, approvals, refugee flows and net migration gains and losses reported in this paper indicates that “the infusion of new elements” into New Zealand society is proceeding apace. There is no suggestion in immigration policy in 2002 that this will not “become even more important in the future”, as Burke (1986) assumed in the mid-1980s.

Well, if the NZ Muslims do have that as their chief aim and objective, they are failing miserably. The ones where I live (and there are a fair number) go about their business like the rest of us.

This sort of belief is stone-old, as minorities are a soft target. The Jews have always been the minority of choice who are supposed to be doing what Thumb accuses Muslims of. Chinese people have also, in the West, been seen as sinister interlopers (Yellow Peril, opium dens, white slave trade-I think that they are also among those who find white women irresistible). Catholics have been the target. They couldn’t be MPs in England for a long time.

It goes on and on. The ignorant find one or two extreme examples and think that they represent everyone from that race/belief. Of course, the examples needn’t be real, bigots are not fussy about such niceties.

      ……….
That wasn’t my point. My point is that making it work is a primary goal of elites.
While they “go about their business” they go about elite business of obliterating and deligitimising the New New Zealand Identity.

What is important is 1. timing -we are a developed nation and there is no evidence we have benefitted from a larger population.
      2. a common identity drew us together and makes us work towards a common good. Evolution’s verdict is that that is how societies survive and prosper. Elites are seeking to create a new “super ordinate” identity but that requires a suppression of opposition by dominating all avenues of expression and defining “us and them” as hate speech.
      3. While you can find lots of examples of diverse people getting along, there is still the group factor and an ethnocentric bias based on the hormone oxytocin.
Ethnic stratification and an emerging ethnically motivated voting has confounded the well being of this country while the quality of life sinks and we see the creation of low paying jobs.

“Well, if the NZ Muslims do have that as their chief aim and objective, they are failing miserably.”

They are too small a number but that is changing. And even so, all the research points to Diversity™ breaking down societies wherever it is pushed by Globalists.

I would rather go with the research than your female virtue signalling:

      – “In longitudinal perspective, [across European regions], an increase in immigration is related to a decrease in social trust.”

      https://academic.oup.com/sf/article-abstract/93/3/1211/2332107/Ethnic-Diversity-Economic-and-Cultural-Contexts

      – Ethnic homogeneity and Protestant traditions positively impact individual and societal levels of social trust.

      https://academic.oup.com/esr/article-abstract/21/4/311/556895/Predicting-Cross-National-Levels-of-Social-Trust

      – Diversity hinders between-group cooperation at both the one-on-one and group levels.

We’re all migrants, some have come more recently than others, that’s all.

Anyone who knows about the Holocaust, the Killing Fields, the Rwandan events, the…….must know that some people don’t need much of an excuse to hate other groups, regard them as clones who are trying to run the country, and so on and on. Pol Pot regarded all people who wore glasses as suspect-they must be intellectuals.

Protestant traditions do WHAT ? That person hasn’t read much history or been to Ulster.

The IRA was trying to kill English people and at times bring London to a standstill, in both of which aims they succeeded very well.

So people in the US were funding the Troubles, it would seem.

That’s why we need to stop immigration now , once xenomorphs reach critical mass, there will be no way to stop them influencing the political system so that it becomes impossible to close the sluice gates on the immigration flood.

It’s been a long time coming, but we have found the alternative “mystery ketch” Antares that many believe was involved in the disappearance of Ben & Olivia

From an advert for his latest book ” Show Me The Money Honey.”

        All peer reviewed studies included.

Think of that shiny coat you could posses if only you could get over antipathy towards Wishart.

So when the bigots are defeated and migrants (diversity) increases, who then runs the government. Where will those left-wing academics feature? Will they stand there like school masters managing tthe children; that is the goal of social sciences. What about the economy . Prior to “The New New Zealand” we had a higher standard of living and a higher quaility of life but we still had economic problems. We have solved many of those problems via market forces but now globalism is rationalising capital and labour across borders (or trying to) . What makes Spoonley and co think they will be central if we had a substantial Muslim minority? Will we all agree with the UN on foreign policy? Will we be a free and open democracy?
Suppression is here already.in an “institutionalisation of public discourse” and domination of all avenues of expression – especially academia.

“How does or could a focus on superdiversity destabilise and challenge normative approaches to urban diversity management or national projects in ways that create new spaces and options for an inclusive/progressive politics? And who are they key players? This seminar also explores who is typically included in discussions of superdiversity and those that might be excluded such as hegemonic majority ethnic groups, or corporate and private sector organisations. Settler society superdiversity is used as one example to explore the complex possibilities of emancipatory politics.”
