The Nation: Paula Bennett

National are trying to address the Jacinda effect by putting Paula Bennett on The Nation.

I only half listened to this, it seemed a bit half baked in comparison to Labour’s tag team.

The Nation understands some Police stations were unable to change lightbulbs, damaged cars weren’t being fixed until the new financial year. But Bennett says Police have told her that’s not true and the lightbulb claim is “ridiculous”.

Petty stuff in comparison to new leaders.

And stolen Bennett’s and Labour’s thunder, all week and on The Nation.

    Not a good move. Not at this time. You don’t run towards a Tsunami. Paula need to be put out of sight, given a makeover and brought out when Jacinda makes her first stumble.

    Then they need to rotate Nationals hard women to hit Jacinda hard in an unpredicted cycle.

    I’m still interested in that comment on the Whalers site that National women consider Cindy a bitch. Of course, feralness is an inherent quality of Lefties. But I haven’t detected any discernable nastiness from Jacinda.

    Maybe a revelation is in order.

    • That’s just dirty politics by Slater. he has tried to play that against National candidates and even Ministers – he has made some fairly vicious claims about Nikki Kaye in the past for example.

      It’s how he operates. And he shouldn’t be believed without evidence, he has a record odf being involved in false claims.

        Definitely a rather large toad in a pond of whale oil, not likely to turn into a handsome prince if kissed.

      Attack the Greens and National attacks Labour without even mentioning Ardern………

          Hardly think that Labour will ‘grow their support’ if people continue to associate Labour/Greens as one-and-the-same as the MoU was designed to do.

          English needs to be proactive and publically call Turei out – the public are on his side in that regard and Ardern looks weak & politically self-interested for not doing the same.

            There may yet be an issue with Paula lurking in the background, she’s been pretty quiet.

      Is Cindy short for Cinderella? And if so will a handsome prince (aka voters) come along with the keys to the castle (aka The Beehive)?

    I see on Facebook there’s a petition going around asking WINZ to look into Paula Benefits past , did a google search, and see she has had an interesting past too,This could explain her silence…but all conjecture

            Morning Al Things lurk on the internet till some one makes it a
            public interest story.

            Bit like … how Peter Thiel, having only spending
            12 days in NZ over a holiday period,
            got his NZ citizenship.residency
            requirement of 1350 days … not likely!
            This little piece of head line news was 6 years old when it
            became ‘public interest.’

              How did it matter, Possum? It was legal and advantaged NZ in political judgement. What is wrong with that?

              Nothing in it re Bennett. And it glosses completely over Turei’s family connections and frauds. The back stories are still untold after that piece of Green laundering.

              Very telling article. ..Bennett is evasive. ..Plenty of…smoke.

              Interesting that the reporters of that story actively went out to find people who knew Bennett during the time she was on the benefit but didn’t do the same in Turei’s case. For Bennett the bulk of the story is people talking about her, in Turei’s case it is her telling her own (one-sided) story.

              Double standards aplenty unless they are holding back those interviews until further down the track as Turei digs a bigger hole for herself.

              Bennett has lowered the cone of silence. What happened to ‘nothing to hide. .nothing to fear’…get the lawyers in…cease and desist. ..oh the irony. .Bennetts career is in free fall.

              Bennett has threatened to sue false allegations. That is an entirely reasonable defence against the likes of you, B.

  4. It was interesting to hear Paula waffling about the ‘WAR on Drugs’;

    There are concerned about Synthetics & Meth/P BUT are still not considering any real reform on Cannabis; ignoring overseas evidence !
    It sounded like Paula is maybe ‘leaving the door ajar’ to keep everyone guessing(even though Key & English both said ‘NO’ to any further reform) so IF they do get another term, they can then slam it shut & Shout.. “Status Quo only !” 😦

    HER name is Jacinda, this just discredits anybody who’s name is Cindy. This is a bit weak, typical national supporter type of comment with the Cindy name.
