I feel very patriotic tonight. I (sadly) picked up a ready meal of lamb moussaka, when putting it into the oven just now I notice on the box it said it was NZ Lamb. 😎 🇳🇿

On one of the panels in the memorial at QE2 Park at Paekakariki to the US Marines who drowned in a landing craft exercise during WWII is a reference to their being pleased to receive a shipment of US beef because they were sick of their diet of kiwi mutton which they referred to as “goddam mountain goat”! 🇳🇿 ⚔ 🇺🇸

Quite possibly. I think it says somewhere they also once fired a mortar bomb into the township. Hopefully not as an indication of their dissatisfaction with their provisions. 😮

Idiots-I don’t eat meat now, but I have eaten goat in the past, God forgive me, and it was delicious, like really good hogget. NZ hogget is truly delicious as I remember it. I think that those Americans were the kind who would die rather than admit that anything outside their own country was any good.

Canadian friends were surprised when they went to a chemist shop here on their first day and found soap made in their own city of Surrey, BC.

  3. This is absolutely disgusting.

An article which highlights how Prince George has become a “gay icon overnight” to some people has sparked controversy – with a politician demanding an apology for the “highly inappropriate” write up.

PinkNews published a story with the headline “People think Prince George looks fabulous in this new photo,” saying people on Twitter had called him a ‘gay icon’.

It’s a pretty odd request, but it’s Blazer, so who knows what’s going on in his head. If he wants to be stalked and annoyed, would somebody else mind doing it?

      • This blazer is sexualising a child. This is disgusting. There can be no moral subjectivity surely

I hate the pageants where small girls are dressed up like mini-adults.

There are even false teeth for these-they fit over the child’s own teeth and hide the gaps where baby teeth have fallen out as if there’s something wrong with this. I think that gappy smiles look funny and sweet.

Remember when Francis Hooper caused a real stir with his t-shirts for tiny children with totally inappropriate slogans like ‘Future Porn Star’ and ‘I’m a Tit Man.’ ? One can only wonder who would buy them, or if anyone did.

The Pink News may not have meant that Prince George was a gay icon in a sexual sense-being gay doesn’t mean that someone thinks of nothing but that.

I have just spent more time doing a DIY that should/would have been an easy job had the beetle-headed knave who put in the bathroom vanity used a level to make sure that the basin was straight-or even looked. Making a new vanity to replace their effort was easy enough, but fitting it on wasn’t because the idiot’s eye was well and truly out and anyone coming after them has to measure and prune to make the measurements right.

Just seen the racist Maori Party launch their election campaign. Gang bangers, the chronically offended, the stopping of exporting water( that’s just the beginning) and a minister for Maori housing only.

I trust no one on this site would be foolish enough to vote for such a divisive party.

New Zealnd doesn’t need this type of racism. Or the people who vote for them

If my televison died, I might well not replace it.

The endless MasterChefs series (is that on every night ?) and the Block (ditto) must be watched by someone-but who ? And I see that a new version of Changing Rooms has been made….yawn…..

I think that many in Black Power have outgrown the old ways of being a gang-one seldom hears of them now, unlike other gangs.

Do you realise that there are hundreds of high quality shows you can watch on your television that are nothing like the vile rubbish that is on TVNZ and TV 3? I have not watched anything on New Zealand broadcast TV for five years including the TV ‘news’.

Mostly crap on Freeview tonite. I watched something on Choice TV, that was interesting. 3 different Christian scientists convinced that the story of Exodus is true & working independently on proving it. Two of them think they have proof of the real route the Israelites took. Sadly they are both talking about their bring in completely different places – but their research was interesting. Looks like it’s part of a series.

People who assume that all politicians are troughers are showing their ignorance as well as being offensive,

Many MPs-especially National ones-donate their salary to charity, as by law they cannot refuse to take it. Contrary to the belief of the more ignorant, they have no say over how much it is.

If Muslims were banned, NZ would lose a lot of doctors, nurses and other such professional people. A Muslim ban would be as idiotic as a Catholic one, on the grounds that because the IRA and Mafia are Catholics, a Catholic from Sweden must be a terrorist or a mobster.

Poor Corks still doesn’t realise that Islam is not a race. I suppose that he would have vetoed the Muslims who risked their lives for NZ and refused to let them in.

And Lurch doesn’t know that Bill English is one of those who donate their salary, or a large proportion of it, to charity-I wonder how much of Lurcher’s income goes in donations.
