A boost for Brexit. A new survey shows that most Remain supporters now support taking control of immigration from he EU, leaving the European Court of Justice, and not paying a Brexit Divorce Bill.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/08/11/remain-voters-now-back-taking-control-borders-leaving-ecj-paying/

This is a boost to Brexiteers, as stopping free movement and leaving the ECJ means there is no way the UK can remain in the Single Market (these are two of the requirements of being in the SM), something else that many Remainers have now reconciled to as 70% said they support leaving the SM, and a similar number have said that they prefer no deal to a bad deal. It is just the Remainers that cannot accept the result that are trying to hang on to the SM idea.

Interestingly on other media (radio) some of the speculation on this shift by Remainers is put down to the appalling way the EU have behaved since the referendum.

Also, just last week the Irish PM said that the UK should run the referendum again as the result would be to remain, something that did not go down well in the UK.

One of the arguments by Remainers for why the UK needs to stay in the EU is that food standards would drop, this argument had a blow this week.

It has been reported that Dutch Eggs have been contaminated with an insecticide Fipronil. These eggs have been exported within the EU, and outside the EU, but worse news is that it has been reported that this has been known about in Brussels for months (since June). The UK is reported to have imported up to 700,000 eggs that could have been contaminated, almost all of them being processed and used in supermarket egg sandwiches, salads, and other convenience foods containing eggs.

Needless to say there has been a lot of comment on talkback radio and on Social Media about this, and from the Brexiteers about how the Remainers said that the EU would protect food standards, but now they have dropped the ball on the food standards.

It is a worry, especially when you have bought egg sandwiches in-store, but it highlights the fact that no amount of bureaucracy and legislation can protect against this sort of thing.

    • The EU has form with sort stuff don’t they? Did the EU bureaucrats sit on the outbreak of mad cow disease on the continent well after the UK debacle of red tape inertia when the disease was found on french farms?

The EU is a control freaks paradise and perfect for lots of rules and red tape which is easily corrupted by large business interests, imho – Kafka would be proud of them

Yep they do, they also sat on the horsemeat scandal where horsemeat was substituted for beef by some producers in Eastern Europe (Romania if I remember correctly).

Protectionist and selfish, they do not have the best interests of the European Citizens at heart.

        • Selfish being the key word Missy….. Juncker is the archetype of the self centre a-hole that the EU bureaucracy feels best in supporting and promoting..

Absolutely, and what I have seen of how they work since I have been up here it convinces me more that I was right to vote for the UK to leave the EU.

They are arrogant, and have no accountability to the people they profess to represent.

Juncker is one of the most despised – and mocked – men in the UK. He isn’t known as Drunker Juncker for nothing!

I saw yesterday that Traveller posted about the latest Muslim Grooming Gang in the UK to be convicted.

This is a story that has, naturally, had some coverage – though sadly not as much as it should have had.

Initially the story this week was focussed on criticism of the police for paying a convicted paedophile as an informant to get information on the gang, however yesterday afternoon and today it has moved to the greater issue of how this is still happening.

Finally the media in the UK are talking about one of the bigger issues around this, that many police and other officials are too afraid to act in case they are labelled racist, and that this is a Muslim issue. However, that still hasn’t stopped many of the left wing liberals from doing the ‘but white men are paedophiles too’.

Some MPs are calling for stronger sentences for the grooming gangs, whilst the Home Secretary has called for an end to political correctness and cultural sensitivities in order to uncover these activities.

Writing in the Telegraph today QARI ASIM, a Leeds Imam, said it is for Muslims to confront “cultural prejudices” that have led these men to “prey on white girls, seeing them as easy meat”.
He said: “Everyone in Britain has a responsibility to uphold the law and protect the most vulnerable, and that means British Muslims do too.”

It was reported that when the gang in Newcastle were sentenced one of them said that White women were only good for one thing. Many are starting to say it is a race crime, and that these men are motivated by racial hatred. Despite this the judge never once cited race as an aggravating factor, despite the racist sentiments of members of the gang expressed in trial. This is significant, as under UK law if race is seen as a motivating factor then the sentence is harsher than if it isn’t.

Maajid Nawaz, a radio DJ on LBC, had this to say on it today:

    http://www.lbc.co.uk/radio/presenters/maajid-nawaz/maajid-nawaz-uncomfortable-truth-grooming-gangs-uk/

I don’t agree with much on Maajid’s politics (he is a Lib Dem), but I do have enormous respect for him when discussing issues of Islamism and the problems in the Muslim community. He comes under a lot of criticism from the Muslim community, and is often accused of Islamaphobia – the favourite way to shut down criticism of Muslims and Islam.

He quotes some interesting statistics in this bit.

Further to this. Former Race conciliator has said it is time the UK started labelling these gangs for what they are.

He has launched an attack on the establishment – including the BBC – for not calling these gangs what they are. He said the old bogey of being labelled racist has been replaced with the fear of being labelled islamaphobic. He says it is time that it is time the UK wakes up and sees it is religion that unites these men.

He has said they shouldn’t be called asian grooming gangs as it tarnishes many of the asians in the UK who don’t do this, such as Indian Sikhs and Hindus.

I am just listening to the radio, and a guy from the Asian community who is speaking on this. He hit the nail on the head with his comments. He said that this is a cultural issue that goes back centuries where women from outside their communities are considered fair game for this type of behaviour. He said that it is endemic in Pakistan Muslim communities, and that it is not only white girls that are being raped, he said punjabi & sikh & hindu women are also targeted by these gangs, but the police are reluctant to act on it.

Herein lies one of the problems in my opinion. The Muslim community have done a great PR job using hate crime legislation in order to portray themselves as the victims, they use the charges of racism and islamaphobia against anyone who tries to lay complaints against them or criticise them, and against the police or social workers, thus quickly shutting down any form of investigation against them.

I know from personal experience that when I talk about the verbal abuse I get from Muslim men – mainly African Muslims in my area – I am told I am a racist, and that it is no worse than what any woman would get on a Friday night out, or that white men say the same thing & it isn’t racially motivated. The point is, it is racially motivated, and it is directed at me because I am a white woman. There is a reluctance for anyone to think that white women are on the receiving end of racism – or anyone white really – and this is prevalent in the way hate crimes are reported in the media, it is always White British against Europeans, or Muslims, or other Minority Ethnic Groups, not matter what the evidence is.

Wow, this is a first. There has just been a call from a Pakistani Muslim into the radio, he said the problem will never be sorted until the underlying issues are addressed. This guy said that the underlying issue is that in the Pakistani Muslim community children (boys and girls) are taught from early childhood that white girls are and easy lay and immoral. He said that he overheard an Imam talking about the Oxford Grooming gang, and the Imam said that the men were good men and the girls (they were children) had led the men on.

The guy speaking was very open and honest that this is a Muslim issue, and that it is encouraged in the Koran.

It is good to hear this, so many say it is not about them being Muslim, but just criminals, but here we have a Muslim calling into a national radio show saying it IS a Muslim problem.

The sad thing is that there are so very few in the Muslim community who are willing – or able – to stand up and acknowledge that this is a Muslim issue.

And the hour talking about the Grooming gang is over….

A bit heavy for a Friday night, but very interesting listening to it.

No leftie Muslim apologists, just some honesty from the Pakistani Muslim community, and some former officials involved in some of the cases.

The City of London’s top Brexit Envoy has slammed the EU. A series of memo’s sent back to London by the Envoy, Jeremy Browne, have been published online.

He has said they have woefully failed to properly prepare for negotiations, and he has slammed their obsession with the divorce bill, (though to be fair after information about their 500,000 Euro travel expenses for 2 months last year it is now a bit more understandable why they are focused on the money).

He claims the EU are affronted but the idea of London remaining unaffected by quitting the union, and he said Poland has a myopic obsession with the size of Britain’s exit fee – this could be because Poland are one of the biggest beneficiaries of EU funding, and the less money the EU have the less Poland will get (my opinion only).

In once memo he tore into the EU for briefing that Britain could face a Brexit divorce bill of £91billion (100bn euros) describing the aggressive approach as ‘oddly cack-handed’.
He wrote: ‘Some brinkmanship is inevitable, but it requires good judgement about where the brink is.’ He went on to say ‘The inability of Brussels to comprehend British politics, or read the British character at the most elementary level, is bewildering; reckless even.’

Mr Browne also said that many countries see in Brexit an opportunity to act together on the global stage. Switzerland is reportedly happy to have a larger European Country outside the EU and he said that they want to create a so-called ‘F4’ alliance with London, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Tellingly in another memo he revealed that countries outside the EU have criticised the bloc as ‘bureaucratic’ and ‘protectionist’ and see Brexit as an opportunity to foster closer relations with Britain. This is an indictment on the bureaucracy that is the EU.

This is significant, Jeremy Browne is not only the envoy for the City of London – which is pro EU and not happy with Brexit, and are one of the main lobbyists for the Government to keep the UK in the Single market – but he is also a former Liberal Democrat Minister. The Liberal Democrats are the only fully pro EU party in UK politics.

A cartoon (that hopefully will post) that ties in two things I discussed – EU & the Dutch egg scandal.

If you believe that Blazer then no doubt you believe that the lefty twats should also be charged with child abuse for the way they brainwash their kids into growing up with a hatred and intolerance of an opinion that differs to theirs, and how they bring them up with a jealous hatred of those that work hard to better their life, not to mention how they brainwash their kids into their anti-west, anti-semitic view of the world.

You are talking conjecture, yet you have provided evidence that your Tory hero behaves exactly as I allege.

      • Blazer – don’t talk about your dear old Pa like that

  7. Thanks Missy. You’re not going to believe it, but, I had to endure a Jacinda ad ( skip in 5 TG) on that page.

Never mind, small price to pay for all that MOGGMENTUM.
