Green Party relaunch – ‘Love New Zealand’

The Green Party are ‘resetting’ their campaign and relaunching it this afternoon.

James Shaw acknowledges that things have been messy. He said he entered politics to campaign on climate change, against poverty, and for a better standard of politics. He says that over the past two weeks Greens have acted as poorly as other parties.

Their ‘new’ slogan is ‘Love New Zealand’ – recycled from 2014.

He also announces a new caucus leadership team.

  • Marama Davidson – ending poverty
  • Julie Anne Genter – climate change
  • Eugenie Sage – cleaning up rivers

They are the next ranked MPs, and now Shaw is sole leader this is s sensible campaign strategy.

Fitting that the walking dead should regurgitate a long rotting slogan.

why do you hate the Greens so much?Serious question.

        Not hate, despise.

The current caucus specifically because of their unthinking support of a thief and fraud,

The party generally (and their foreign masters) because their unscientific practices have contributed to global warming, starvation and poverty.

They really need Matt McCarten to come aboard and lend some direction to the campaign.

Heard an interesting interview from Bernard Tarva(?) this morning. He was explaining how the Alliance Party breakup had hard Left members looking for a new home with the Greens.

The same thing happened in Australia.

So the Greens have a similar problem to Labour- too many factions. We need only look to Yugoslavia to see what happens when factions can no longer be contained by a central control.

Time for National to drive a wedge into the Left. And the Greens look the most vulnerable at the moment. The ”Jacinda Effect” is currently protecting Labour. However, that effect will dim somewhat should Labour be facing another 3 years in opposition. That’s when National can start working on Labour….provided they can keep their own house ion order.

Love New Zealand’? Going back to 2014 ain’t cool. Their slogan should be ” After The Loving Is Gone.”

Vernon Tava. Ex-Green who ran from the Party in tears after losing co-leadership contest to James Shaw. Far from impartial on any issue concerning the Greens.

Just got back from the Hawkes Bay, including central Napier and Hastings. Almost all the Green election hoarding up still show both of the leaders. I also noted that there was no pictures of Jacinda at all and most of Stuart Nash’s ones don’t have a picture of him In contrast Bill seems to be on almost all the National ones, of which there are a lot out in the grape and orchard growing regions, right next to the drip irrigators.
