We have quite a few tuis around here. I was really pleased that a photo I took of one in the big tree outside the sittingroom window turned out well enough to be my ‘wallpaper’.

Two more waxeyes decided to come in today, They were flying low and the dog was barging out so they met in the middle. I don’t know who was more surprised at this collision, but both parties changed direction and broke all speed records doing so.

Never quite knew what to make of this song. At 1.39 you have two Ozark mountain men. You can almost smell the soil coming out of their pores; see snake handling and the Flim Flam Man healing the sick with his Pow Wow and bible verses.

One of the leading ‘snake handlers’ (the US sect) was bitten by one of the poisonous snakes that his faith allowed him to handle unscathed and…..I don’t know how they explained THAT away.

        ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ … W.T.F … ???????

    • I used to really, really like the OMD, especially this song.

“Song originally written by Larry Lee only..it was about a guy named Jackie Blue, Dares producer heard Larry Lee playing this on the piano in the studio as they were waiting to do some recording, the producer asked him what the song was about and Larry said a friend of his that had a drug problem, the producer said “No” it’s about a girl and it’s a hit song, so he sent Steve Cash and Larry Lee into another room to work out new lyrics, the ones we all know today…….”
