    Good morrow, Quacklings ❤️

Charlie and Prettygirl have asked me to give you their Very Best Wishes for the First of Spring, & to tell you that it is raining for the 6th quacking day in a row 😡 in North Welly – & also that a *gentle Norwesterly zephyr* is currently making flying conditions somewhat hazardous for ducks – and that all of these things have finally made them take a fence!

Blimmin heck. I just went OUT THERE to feed them! 😮
It’s not a Norwester. It’s coming from the SOUTH! 😕
      And it’s bloody FREEZING! 😬
PG – do you know anything about this ! 😠

They’re essentially the same place. Used to work in Collins Ave and live in the Po, spent a lot of time looking at that hill.

              a) you can’t call them that, they’re disabled, and b) they’ve been everywhere since they closed the mental hospital.

Flatted in Tremewan Street when first married. Linden’s not Tawa bro.

Linden’s not Tawa like Elsdon’s not Porirua. Technically it’s not, but there’s not enough of it to distinguish it from Tawa.
I worked there for a year before I found out it had it’s own name, even my boss told clients our base was in Tawa.

On another note, you say you’ve got Stoats, do you get those massive rats out of the creek? I’ve never seen rats as big as those before. (worked in a kitchen there that was next to the most unsanitary fish’n’chip shop, shared skip out the back that backed on to the creek – which attracted them – sometimes you had to bang the skip before you opened it).

“even my boss told clients our base was in Tawa.”

              There’s a reason for that.

Yep have had the occasional water rat. Saw one a couple of weeks ago. Watching a duck cruise up to the stream bank on my side & thought “that’s odd there’s a chunk of tree branch drifting ACROSS the stream faster than the current with it?”

Wasn’t a tree branch. They don’t climb out of the water & head South.

But he’s shifting about uncomfortably on his little webbies & won’t look me directly in the eye. 🤔

Lost a miniscule micro-pocket knife used once in a blue moon as an emergency screwdriver I didn’t even know was in the bottom of my work satchel at ChCh airport heading to Dunners. Spotted the nail clippers but got away with them. Lost those coming thru ChCh on the way back to Welly.

Oh Trav I am emotionally exhausted … just looking at that list !! 🙂

I have 3 dayz away and I DO Need 10 or more different changes!

There’s the weather …. could be Hot, could be Cold
Then there’s casual you know …cleaning toilets and making beds casual

Then there’s Urban Causal … going to get the milk down at the corner diary.

The beach wear … just in case,
even if I’m landlocked where I’m staying.
Might go some where diving for kina. 😉

      Walking shoes
      Running shoes
      Jandal sistas
      or Sandals
What about my gumboots just in-case there is rain!!!

Then there’s Dress Up stylz … just in case we go to the Indian Restaurant
The right bag … shoes and do I need jewellery with that?
Hair thingies … different colour for each out-fit.

Don’t get me started on the travelling attire, so many choices,
      Haute Coutre
      Bogan
      Pyjamas.
      Arrrrrgh
      Rather stay Home.

      • Ouch – how daunting PP.

I try to take crossover clothes. Can I wear it with jandals/sandals and heels? On safari I do this thing where I put NEW outfit on in the evening for dinner and wear it next day. Other one is washed and dried in 24 hours ready for change the next night. TWO outfits – easy.

Light windbreaker an a really large pashmina wrap, doubles a lightish blanket almost. All good for rain and cold. Merino undergarment for any morning that may be cold. Rest of day warm where I am going.

        Jandals x 1 black (wear a lot) Sandals x 2 – 1 x walking and 1 x smarter heels. Covered in shoes – 1 runners/1 patterned Vans.

Bottoms and tops – most can be teamed with heeled sandals for evening. Lots of earrings for interest, makeup, scarves accessories. I find the accessories mean I can make outfits less boring. I just take one really nice bag, use my camera bag as bag for plane
