After a rather flat debate from my perspective, I decided to switch over to Radio Live and listen to the Whaler and Mitch Harris talk politics. I was expecting Lefties, flush with power and excitement after sucking lemons for decade, to lay into the Whaler.

It didn’t happen while I was listening. Huge amount of texts agreed with him, and some wanted him to have his own show.

The Whaler talked about himself inventing dirty politics, and spoke of political luminaries who frequented his house during his youth. The thing here is we assume everyone knows Slater, when in fact he is just a passing name to most New Zealanders.

The Whaler explained how he gave up supporting any one political party around 2014
( when National shut him out). He said that allowed him to see things clearly. Harris piped in expressing similar sentiments. Whether that means they don’t vote, I don’t know. But they are tracking similar to me.

It was then I glimpsed the future of New Zealand media and politics. For politics there is no future. Only anarchy down the road. For New Zealand media, the Whaler, given the right breaks is where it’ll be at. Whether Lefties like it or not, the Whaler is back.

So to beat trolls to the obvious question: If I’m so enamoured with the Whaler, why don’t I fuck off over there? Simply because Pete has the wood on the Whaler when it comes to running a free speech blog. And I’m not enamoured with the Whaler. Besides, there are already too many Lefties over there at the moment… not that they’d dare admit that.

Actually most New Zealanders haven’t heard of him or remember taking any notice of him.

Thing is Pete, he’s the type of guy who gives you a sugar rush, while simultaneously polarising opinion, and maintaining an air of cohesion none of the other blogs have That’s the way media is heading. MSM can’t deliver that. Slater is the only alternative media who can…..unless you can point me in another direction to some blog that can Trump him?

Lol…he also related to having lunch with Jacinda and David Farrar around 2009. His impression of her was someone full of bumper sticker slogans. Apparently she got in trouble for having contact with the Whaler. Perhaps Labour was worried she would catch something…lol.

His running debate commentary on radio live last eve was first class. Perceptive, dIspassionate, neutral, entertaining and at times quite brutal. Would highly recommend

I’m not getting high just to listen to this character, whoever he is. If Corks limes him he’s obviously rubbish.

            * That should say ‘likes’, but if Corks wants to lime him, that’s probably ok too.

“The Whaler talked about himself inventing dirty politics..”

      hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha……………………………………..

That is the funniest thing I have read in a while. Slater invented nothing, there has been dirty politics as long as there has been politics.

He really is up himself if he believes that.

    • Seriously who gives a toss about him. Of course the left are all over him, he’s on their flipping team. Rabbiting on about “luminaries” that used to visit his house. Spare me. As for inventing Dirty Politics, how deluded is he. The man who described it was
Niccolò Machiavell in “The Prince”. Written in 1513, he first laid bare the moral world of politics and the gulf between private conscience and the demands of public action. Heavens me, little old Slater, despite penning vitriol prolifically cannot pretend at inventing it!

He’s on record yesterday saying this:

He’s long taken up with the pensioner drop kick Peters and that tells me all I need to know about him

Blindingly obvious, Duncan. The thing is people love being offended. Hence your sane advice will be ignored.

If he’s got any insane advice, I’m prepared to read & evaluate it, & consider whether there’s a possible market for it anywhere – TDB Blog, Conservative Party, Greens or NZF party members, or voters, for example

So David Tamihere has been cleared. I never thought that he had done it, although I believed that he was the kind of person who’d steal a car and not care that the owners would be left stranded by the roadside.. But that doesn’t make someone a murderer.
