👍🏼 Great choice. Liked them so much I could never remember the name of one of them at any given time (but that might have been my best guitar buddy Paddy’s funny-smelling rollies as well.)

I know someone who was at Woodstock-oh, envy. I don’t want to be old enough (and it always seems surprising that someone who was there is that age now-but I want to have been there. Where’s the time machine ?

Even people whose parents were either not born then or were infants swoon at the thought of someone actually BEING there when I mention this. Seeing Jimi Hendrix is one of the most envied things. It’s said with awe…’they’d have seen Jimi Hendrix !!!!’

Just did a 20 minute free concert in the back yard patio on 3/4 classical guitar:
Into the Mystic, Blues Medley (instrumental), Long As I Can See The Light, The Times They Are A Changing, Rinky Dink Women, Eagle Rock.

⬆️ Came up, said it was “soo cool”, requested this one:

Hee ! I have that on an old LP. It was used by the museum in an exhibition once. My house looks like a retro exhibition.

Mine looks like a cross between a secondhand/antiquarian bookshop and a retro shop with a crinoline lady section (well, they are all over the place, really). I am not fussy about little chips and other flaws in things-all part of their history.

Mushroom soup for luncheon. Spot of bother following reheat of the Molenberg Original toast. Managed to scrape by. 👍🏼

Scraped toast, erghhhh….and the scraped charcoal goes everywhere. I have just made a patchwork cover for my toaster-it’s seldom used and the pong of Dust Brulee is not attractive,The toaster now has a jaunty little patch ‘throw’ to prevent this annoyance.

Sky City has spring onion mash on the menu. It comes with a meat dish, so I won’t be having it there, but if I am ever on Death Row, mashed potatoes with lots and lots of butter and either chives or spring onions in it will be among the items in my last meal. Not only will it have butter mashed in, I will make a hole in it and put some more in that-cover it up-wait till it melts…

Probably best not to wait until it melts. I gather when they come for you they get the whole thing over with as quickly as possible so you aren’t unduly distressed.

It doesn’t take long, to melt, from what I remember (faints with greedy nostalgic longing)

I’d finish with a really good lemon cheesecake-a really tart, unsweet one-fresh fruit salad (no sugar, it’s an insult to the fruit) and some cheese of the kind that one never buys because it’s so expensive,

        I have now 🙂
Have you listened to this one yet? One of the best live recordings ever made IMO.

Thanks have listened to nearly half of it, mighty fine! Now here’s Maynard James Keenan indulging his inner White Trash…

Never ceases to amaze me what cool music the Finns can crank out when their lead singers get a bad case of raging laryngitis! 👍🏼 😩 😀

Definitely. But plenty of great melodic stuff from there too.

    Nuthin beats the Master Romantic

    • Kitty Catkin

       /  September 9, 2017

Nuthin’ beats the old LPs for atmosphere; I have his LP, too, he looks very young on the cover. I love records; all those little hisses and crackles are their history. Yes, they are a pain to store (mine live in two brown Warehouse totes) and cumbersome… but they are magic.

It’s such fun when treasure appears among all the Val Doonicans, Jim Reeves, James Lasts* and the rest in opshops.

        * how many records did they make, forsooth ?

    Youse jokers are sooo competitive!

But I tell ya – nuthin Pink Floyd’s lighting techies done could ever beat the moonrise I’m watching right now! Through & behind clouds. What a stunning light show! All free! My cellcam can’t do this justice!

Whoever designed this universe of ours was some freakin artist!

I have heard why the moon LOOKS so much bigger some times than others, but couldn’t follow it. There are times when it looks twice the size over the hills. I wish in a way that the Americans hadn’t gone there and taken away the mystery of it-bloody spoil-sports, always having to barge in ahead of everyone else and show off.

Blue moons are a disappointment. I looked out eagerly when one was announced, only to discover that I had seen them before-they aren’t THAT blue.

Nah, that’s Winston’s fault. If he wasn’t so dodgy he might’ve stopped National from grabbing more revenue off the poor.
And on the upside – they’ve still got the Maori seats! 👍🏼☘ 👍🏾 🌴
