What are the odds of him letting Nats govern with a minority and support on supply only to avoid getting hit with the coalition minority partner negativity next election? I guess that depends on whether he wants to retire at the end of this term and doesn’t care what happens to Winston First then.

Policy wise I think they would get the most on the cross benches requiring National to come to them on every issue but will they give up the baubles of office.

            Christ! 😮

Oh well. He is the only one who’s a Privy Councillor!

And he did pop over to Londers & early on & wave his hand around in Westminster & sing out “Remember the Colonies” during Brexit.

It wouldn’t be totally beyond the pale, one thinks.

He’s a what ? That really would be beyond the pale, in the real meaning of the expression.

The Gold Card is great, but people don’t seem to realise what it costs-many, many millions of taxpayer money.

Winston Raymond Peters PC born 11 April 1945) is a New Zealand politician and leader of the populist New Zealand First party which he founded in 1993, and served as the 13th deputy prime minister of New Zealand from 1996 to 1998. Winston when asked about the Maori Party said they were good people, but their polices were straight out of Auckland University. Quite true. Kitty may understand now why I hold this organisation in contempt and banged on about them costing fish oil manufactures many thousands of dollars to retest their products after the university released a bogus study.😵

Remember Trump the nukes are aimed at North Korea, the police trudgeons are aimed at the NFL black players taking a knee to protest police executions, don’t get the buttons mixed up and nuke the USA by mistake…

Here’s another thing to ponder, Lurchy. That Korean fruit loop may fire his missile at America. Given their technology is probably a generation behind other nuclear nations, there is a chance of a malfunction in flight with the missile moving off its trajectory and eviscerating you as you sit on the dunny in New Lynn.

      • lurcher1948

         /  September 25, 2017

Oh the irony Lurchy! Free speech is fine if you’re a neo-Nazi chanting hate slogans, but free speech is not allowed to kneel in protest….

And while Washington’s modern day Nero foams at the mouth over NFL players asking America to do better on criminal justice, the forgotten people of the US territory of Puerto Rico are in desperate need of food and water…

Trump would want ICE to throw them in the ocean, i really think trump follows his father as a racist, closet KKK supporter

      • Joe Bloggs

         /  September 25, 2017

Oh Lurchy I really think trump’s come well out of the closet as far as his affiliation with white supremacism is concerned.

But you’re quite right. I look at fred trump, arrested after a klan riot in Queens, and I look at his son, who called white Supremacists ‘very fine people’: the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, does it.

And can you imagine what would have happened if there had been the faintest rumor that Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, or Al Gore had a Klan sympathizer in the family? They would have been judged unfit for public service, long before they reached office.

But the silence over trump? A tumbleweed moment that stretches out to the horizon….

Remember these moments. They define the 45th potus:
        – Charlottesville white supremacists “very fine people”
        – Black NFL players “sons of bitches that need to be fired”

      exaggeration….a referendum means Maori decide.

      • Corky

         /  September 25, 2017

That depends who you listen to. A general referendum would, I believe, spell the end of the Maori seats. The bottom line is Maori have always received more under National. That was shown by Bill English’s correct kawa of acknowledging Maori who asked questions during the leaders debate. That from a supposedly wealth prick of a farmer. Meanwhile, good ole Phil … can’t answer a straight question. Of course it is out of context…the context of telling the truth upfront.

WTF on radiolive a chinese wants it easier for the chinese to take our country over RE voting, bill english has sold my country out ,by judith collind, a TRATIOR

    • Kitty Catkin

       /  September 25, 2017

I cannot believe that a Chinese person would want to make it easy for the Chinese to take over NZ. What reason would they have ? Judith Collins is married to a Chinese man-that doesn’t make her a traitor, unless you think that all non-Chinese who marry Chinese people are.

      • Blazer

         /  September 25, 2017

we have an open economy’ according to English. The Chinese are pragmatic, just buy the place,as they are doing.

        • Kitty Catkin

           /  September 25, 2017

What nonsense, not, of course, backed up by boring old evidence any more than lurch’s Yellow Peril rant was. The Chinese are not buying up NZ, that is urban myth.

A Chinese NZ citizen or resident who really did want the Chinese to take over via voting would hardly be stupid enough to say so on national radio.

Pourquoi est-il Samoan mais pas Chinois ? C’est une betise. I’ s’apelle Chinois-Samoan, mais toi, tu sais meilleur que lui, n’est-ce-pas ?
