Charlie’s hotshot attitude to landing approaches continues to be a concern to this Avian Aviation Authority.

Having recently mastered the low flying stream-to-just-over-the fence-by-a-whisker-lawn-landing technique, this morning, in a show of reckless bravado, he attempted a vertical-climb-half-loop-half-left-circle-at-top-high-over-fence-drop-landing and once-again clipped-an outlying thin tree branch he had failed to observe on approach.

Pilot has been warned about likelihood of serious injury and/or consequent suspension of pilot’s licence if this nonsense continues.

      • Do you happen to know what the laws are about branches and possums ? If a possum sits on a branch that is too thin for a possum’s weight and the branch breaks, sending the possum crashing to the ground below, is this the responsibilty of the tree owner for having trees with not all branches strong enough to support a fat possum or the possum for trying to sit on such a branch ?

Is there negligence here, and if so, whose ? E.g, can the possum claim ACC or can the tree owner insist that the possum removes the branch at his own expense ?

        Yours

As the regular poster most likely to be aware of any regulations governing this matter, over to you, Sir Alan.

As I have four horses currently grazing between me and my possum trap I am unable to access and bait same with my usual regularity, Sir Gerald. Accordingly possums may be growing fat enough to break branches but do so unbeknown to me. ACC of course throws the taxpayer’s purse at mere negligence and no-one else is ever responsible other than the unfortunate company directors who actually had nothing to do with it. This is how bureaucracy works.

Took me a while to find it but ‘Slight Return’ is to move partially back in an artistic direction that was abandoned or forgotten. Totally appropriate to this version. No charge for the time spent researching it, i do it for love

    Nice

    • I find this version rather dreary; the ch-ch-ch-changes is done far too slowly and sounds like a speech impediment or someone getting stuck on an unfamiliar word. I turn the sound off when it comes on-the singer is a tiny bit off-key,as well.

Three mallards just crash landed on the roof of the garage and then proceeded to “cavort” on the croquet lawn.
Dear reader, when I tell you that there was one female and two males, you can well understand that I am shell-shocked and presently having to boost my inner decorum with a strong cup of tea.
The sods have decided to bypass my lovely duckpond and have headed off to the neighbours.
