I rather like the peaceful nature of the caretaker government. Lets just carry on like this.

    • It is fine as it is for a while, a month or three wouldn’t hurt, but eventually important things will need to be decided and done.

The media doesn’t like it though. they even got agitated and anti when Peters didn’t give them the controversies they keep looking for.

The P.M is probably doing backstroke in the…Oreti river.

  3. I’m amused, but in fairness he’s been in negotiations and no doubt behind the scenes is planning and consulting, or if you’re less than generous, scheming. Perhaps he’s “having conversations”.

After a 4-6 week election campaign all the political journalist will be high on politics and are now going through withdrawal, frustrated by the lack of political news.

    Is this an IQ test?

  6. Is there a point to this post Pete? Personally, I far prefer English keeping a dignified silence on confidential negotiations rather than the grandstanding, media manipulation and outright lies that we are seeing from the leader of New Zealand First.

Who would have thought that the party that claims to want everything to be transparent will have a “board” of anonymous, faceless Peters sycophants make what is a crucial decision for New Zealand’s future? Or perhaps that should read “rubber-stamp the decision Peters has already made…”

    • The point was to promote discussion. I’m ambivalent on Bill’s hermit status but I thought others might like to discuss it.

I often do posts to promote discussion rather than to make a point of my own.
