Media Watch is a focus on New Zealand media, blogs and social media. You can post any items of interested related to media.

A primary aim here is to hold media to account in the political arena. A credible and questioning media is an essential part of a healthy democracy.

A general guideline – post opinion on or excerpts from and links to blog posts or comments of interest, whether they are praise, criticism, pointing out issues or sharing useful information.

  2. i listened to some of the chatter on ZB last evening.. referendum on personal/rec-cannabis use.. let me say there were a few ‘voices of reason’ but also many nay-sayers, prohibitionists & fear-mongers; “for gods sake think of the children” as if only teenagers smoke the herb, so its ok to use a sledgehammer to crack this walnut !
    NOT !!

    if it was just naughty teenagers doing it then i would say, yes to a modified status quo on stopping them getting access <18 years, is almost acceptable; but the reality is many in the 21-99 age groups do so too.. it is not the 'plant with its roots in HELL' or the cause of 'reefer madness' these are lies/myths, perpetrated to ensure the rule of 'the devil we know'.. but the world has turned, its time lil' ol' Aotearoa finally caught up.. its 2017 folks
