Someone needs to tell Vanuatu there are no free lunches. One day a favour is going to be asked. Maybe something like…we need to berth two of our super aircraft carriers here for supplies before moving on to Australia and New Zealand to protect our vested interests.

Taiwan, diplomatically, is in a tricky situation.

Donald Trump has just embarked on a 12 day trip to Asia. I expect there’ll be several opportunities to totally embarrass himself & to make America grate again, & have little doubt that he’ll rise to the occasion.

I wonder how & Duterte will get on? He’ll probably say something stupid like: “President Enrique* Duterte here, is a good friend of mine – & Enrique – I love how you’re murdering your drug users & drug pushers. We should be doing something like that in America, but the Democrats in the Courts won’t let me.”

  2. For anyone in the Hastings District, I’ve put together all the online information I can find on the by-election mayoral candidates. Better to be better informed, I say 🙂

The man on the street usually has a different perspective to politicians and the media.

    • I see plenty of white faces; what nonsense that only one in 50 is white and not black.

Do we even know that that is what the women are saying (they were going too fast for me) or if this was said at the time ? Ever heard of dubbing ?

The ‘march’ looked very peaceful to me. Nobody seemed to be panicking; they were just going about their business.

      • And, of course, those figures are arrant nonsense. About 5% of Germany is Muslim.

This paranoia has been heard there before, of course.

//..make vertical..stop clip..read subtitles. Then get specs and do an ethnic count. Check to see if this was a put-on by the National Front.. The commentators might be joking..just for
a little fun. Are the marchers fake? If they are actors, do they belong to the German Actors Guild?

I feel this idiot is still going through the grief stage, one of kiwiblog Farrars posters

I have finally worked out our poor deluded commie chic.

Remember when little girls would have pretend afternoon teas with miniature cups and saucers. Some times if they were lucky, mother would allow them to pour milk from a tiny jug into their cups.

Ardern is still a little girl in an adults world and everything is new and exciting to her. She sits there smiling and giggling clapping her tiny hands waiting for admirers to bring her gifts.

I dread the day she finds out that the tooth fairy and father Xmas are not real.

    • You can still buy those little tea sets-why not buy one and send it to her ?

I had one; it was china (earthenware, I suspect, china to me then) which had piggies on it. I loved it.

At 37, she’s a bit old to be giggly and girly-really.
