Sudden overnight purge in Saudi Arabia sees the reckless Crown Prince Abdullah, son of King Salman, & architect of the Saudi war in Yemen, among other disasters, take control of the Army, The Internal Security Forces, & the Royal Guard. 11 members of the Royal family (the ‘old guard’), 3 cabinet ministers & various other officials arrested & detained for corruption by a Corruption Commission formed the same night. Good friends of Donald Trump, this lot, so he said. 🙄

Just a small correction, the name of the reckless, ratbag* Crown Prince referred to above, is Prince Mohammed bin Salman (not Abdullah).

Crikey this young Saudi prince sure is making waves. Donald (or Jared) and Benjamin must have said yes to all this. Not sure that lot know what they are doing.

Yemen’s Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for a loud explosion in Riyadh, saying they fired a long-range ballistic missile that travelled more than 800km over the border with Saudi Arabia.

A spokesman for the rebels told Al Jazeera they launched a Burkan 2-H missile – a Scud-type missile with a range of more than 800km – towards Riyadh late on Saturday.

“The capital cities of countries that continually shell us, targeting innocent civilians, will not be spared from our missiles,” the spokesman said.

Huge power struggle going on in Saudi. I guess everyone who is anyone over there will have to choose their side knowing if they get it wrong, its jail or worse. If things become violent over there you won’t want to be filling up the car to often.

Not sure what the numbers represent but I believe g w Bush exited one of the least popular. His +80 came 1 month after one of the momentous events in US history. The entire country rallied behind their president. Extraordinary times!
