    Watching Aljaz tv
Trump making a dick of himself as expected already. At APEC he tells reporters he believes Putin when Vlad tells him he did not interfere in the US elections & a few hours later he tells reporters he believes the US Intelligence Agecies assessments that he did! Then, in Manila, greasing up Duterte, as expected, he’s shown at the confernce offering to personally mediate between China & other countries in the South China Seas because “I’m a good arbitrator”, & in the next breath he’s offering to sell them all arms.

Tillerson is right. The man is a world class moron. He’s the world’s leading moron.

One commentator summed up Trump as follows:
Trump says he would welcome Putin’s help to sort out the problems in Syria & the Ukraine: Putin IS the problem in Syria & the Ukraine.
Trump says he is not interested in multilateral Trade talks: Xi says he is not interested in multilateral talks on the South China Sea.

They just showed that clip again – he tells the Philippines officials: “I’m a very good mediator, I’m a very good arbitrator, I’ve done it from both sides”. This guy has the emotional & intellectual depth, & the self-awareness, of a house-fly.

        You clearly have over-estimated the emotional & intellectual depth, & self-awareness of a house-fly.

Gezza overestimates and under estimates all the time.

It’s true, but never by very much. And in the end I generally achieve a rough kind of a balance though, Corks. Getting these things exactly right or alt right isn’t easy, bud.

The biggest moron ever! A very good moron! The best!

“The worst part of this is not that Trump takes Putin’s word over the evidence-based analysis of his own intelligence agencies.

It is not even that he plays the role of a useful idiot as he kowtows to Putin yet again.

The worst part, by far, is that a hostile power is engaged in an ongoing attack on America’s political system and Trump is deliberately stripping the nation’s defenses bare and leaving us exposed to future assaults. It is unilateral disarmament, plain and simple. We have never seen this type of weakness in a U.S. president before.”

        – national security expert Thomas Wright, director of the Center on the United States and Europe at the Brookings Institution.

Whenever he departs from a sensible script, the guy just blithers on with random, disconnected jibber jabber. He doesn’t seem to even listen to himself.

here Gezza, lemme just correctify that for you: whenever he departs from a sensible script written by his handlers, etc, etc… the mega-moron isn’t capable of scripting sensible stuff by himself

Fair enuf, I just assumed the term ‘sensible script’ automtically carried with it the unwritten implication it had to have been written by someone who knew actually something about whatever the subject is.

From the very well-connected Marcy Wheeler comes this brief observation:

I think this is about more than Trump preferring the analysis of an old KGB spy.

As this NYT story released last night makes clear, the Mueller investigation is closing in on Trump’s close aides, including Stephen Miller and . . . Jeff Sessions. I have reason to believe something will be announced in the very near future that will blow the investigation wide open, in ways that may directly implicate the President.

But, as I’ve said repeatedly, the Russian operation built in multiple levels of deniability, not just the WikiLeaks cut-out. So it may be that whatever actions personally implicate Trump involve enough deniability he will be able to claim — or try to — that he didn’t know the actions he took involved working directly with the Russians.

In other words, at some point these repeated public claims aren’t about trusting Putin over his intelligence community. They’re about mounting a criminal defense.

Aljaz tv has been broadcasting for the last few days that speculation has been rife, & suspicion growing, in Lebanon, even within his own Sunni party, that Lebanon’s Sunni Prime Minister was coerced into resigning (after being summoned to Riyadh by the Saudis) & that he is being kept in Riyadh against his will. He has reportedly only been seen in public 3 times since he went there over a werk ago. Everyone has been awaiting a promised televised appearance from him which has now happened.

Saad Hariri says he is ‘free’ in Saudi Arabia
