New Zealand lose to Fiji in League World Cup

Last week New Zealand lost to Tonga in the league World Cup.

Tonight they lost to Fiji in the quarter final. They couldn’t score a try – the final score was 4-2 to Fiji. Good for them, woeful for the Kiwis.

That’s a terrible outcome, but the whole tournament has not been riveting. I guess the only plus so far is there are more than two or three teams that are capable of getting into the final.

Standby for big clean out. Starting with the coach.

Love it. A team that exects to be treated like stars and on par with the ABs but play like amateurs way too often.

    Go Tonga for the Cup…

Can’t say I’ve paid much attention to the league Trev, unlike my Tongan neighbours, who have a flotilla of vehicles, adorned with Tongan flags, parked up outside for every game.

Who said minnows should be kept out of world cup competitions?

Just remember guys – the coach and the players did their bit. It was the fans that lost the game.
If only the fans & commentators hadn’t said the Kiwi’s would be humiliated at this cup due to poor coaching and lack of smarts, the players would have been coached better and played smarter.
Kidwell is spot on – everyone is missing the big picture. This is actually a great side and it is short sighted to say they need actual results to prove it!
On the bright side we dodged the bullet of an absolute shellacking from Australia next week.
