This post is open to anyone to comment on any topic that isn’t spam, illegal or offensive. All Your NZ posts are open but this one is for you to raise topics that interest you.

If providing opinions on or summaries of other information also provide a link to that information. Bloggers are welcome to summarise and link to their posts.

Comments worth more exposure may be repeated as posts.Comments from other forums can be repeated here, cut and paste is fine.

Your NZ is a mostly political and social issues blog but not limited to that, and views from anywhere on the political spectrum are welcome. Some ground rules:

  • If possible support arguments, news, points or opinions with links to sources and facts.
  • Please don’t post anything illegal, potentially defamatory or abusive.

FIRST TIME COMMENTERS: Due to abuse by a few first comments under any ID will park in moderation until released (as soon as possible but it can sometimes take a while).

Sometimes comments will go into moderation or spam automatically due to mistyped ID, too many links (>4), or trigger text or other at risk criteria.

Free speech is an important principle here but some people who might pose a risk to the site will have to keep going through moderation due to abuses by a small number of malicious people.

A, we need a new All Black coach
    B, we need a discipline coach…just saying

  2. Phil Twyford is mad. There is nothing about his plans that are achievable.

Long slow drive down to Auckland today. Heaps of traffic all the way so SH1 travels at the speed of the least competent driver and most encumbered vehicle. The bureaucrats in charge of highways don’t care. Why should they? It doesn’t impact them at all. The longer and slower anything takes to get done and the less that needs to achieve the simpler and easier their job.

Just watched a news item regarding horse riders on our public roads. Apparently they held rides across the country today to highlight problems they encounter with the motoring public. Problems like motorists revving their engines, throwing objects at the horse and speeding by.

What type of idiot would do things like that? Horses aren’t small animals and can cause as much damage to a vehicle as a vehicle can cause to a horse. Should a horse go through the windscreen, death of the driver could be a real possibility.

I blame the education system. I also have a mental image of these offenders.
